摘要:
Abstract.Psyllobaeus peckigen. and sp.n., is described from Lord Howe Island, Australia. This genus is unique in the Baeini in that both sexes (not just the female) are apterous, have a sessile metasoma and have a pair of long spines on the apex of the hind femur. The relationships ofPsyllobaeusand its biology are discussed.

摘要:
Abstract. The genusTelomerinaRoháč;ek (Diptera: Sphaeroceridae) is revised to include twelve species: five Palaearctic, five Nearctic, one Holarctic and one cosmopolitan. The five Neartic species, chillcotti, orpha, submerda, cartaandpengellyiare described as new. The male ofT.eburneaRoháček is described;T.gracilipennis(Spuler) is synonomized withT.flavipes(Meigen) andT.antoniniRoháček is synonomized withT.levifrons(Spuler). The larva and pupa ofT.flavipesare described. A phylogenetic hypothesis for the genus is presented along with a discussion of its zoogeog

摘要:
Abstract. The Eupomphina includes seven distinctive genera of Meloidae from the arid and semiarid zones of North America. Cladistic and phenetic estimates of relationship among genera are analysed and discussed. Both adult and larval characters are used, and the relative contribution of each to the classification of the subtribe is examined. Generic keys to adults and first instar larvae are included.

摘要:
Abstract. As here revised, the family Calopsocidae comprises the generaCalopsocusHagen (seventeen species),NeurosemaMcLachlan (seven),CallistopteraEnderlein (one) andNemupsocusNew (one), and four newly erected genera,Calosema(one species),Cyclopsocus(five),Dendropsocus(one) andTorrepsocus(two). A key to genera is provided, and keys to species ofCalopsocus, CyclopsocusandNeurosema.Ten species ofCalopsocusare described, one ofCalosema, four ofCyclopsocus, one ofDendropsocus, three ofNeurosemaand one ofTorrepsocus. The type species ofDirla, D.javanaNavas, is redescribed, andDirlais synonymized withCalopsocus. Dirla furcataNew is transferred toCalopsocus, Dirla navasiNew toCyclopsocusandDirla pulleniSmithers toTorrepsocus. Calopsocus irretitus(Navas) is synonymized withCalopsocus rizaliBanks. Further descriptions are provided ofCallistoptera annaEnderlein,Calopsocus guttatusSmithers,Calopsocus iridescensBanks,Cyclopsocus navasi(New),Neurosema apicalisMcLachlan andTorrepsocus pulleni(Smithers). The range ofCalopsocusextends from Ceylon to New Caledonia, with ten species occurring in New Guinea; the remaining genera, including the most primitive,Cyclopsocus, are confined to New Guinea, where there has been considerable radiation, except that one species ofNeurosemais recorded from the Philippines.
