摘要:
Abstract. The rare neuropteran family Rapismatidae, known only from the highlands of India and Nepal, S.E. Asia and Indonesia, is reviewed, and the affinities of the family are discussed. Nine species are recognized, of which seven are here described as new: two new synonymies are established.

Abstract. The new World genusAcrolophus, with about 225 species, has alreay twenty‐six generic synonyms. a further four genera,DauliaWalker, 1863 [norm. praeocc., nec Walker, 1859] (monobasic),BrachysymbolaMeyrick (monobasic),OrothyntisMeyrick (two species) andPsephocritaMeyrick (monobasic) are here synonmized withAcrolophus. 摘要:
Abstract.Data on twenty‐six species of male Diaspididae, two of them dimorphic, are analysed in relation to the information content and other quantitative attributes of the characters used to construct analysis. It is shown that simple information theory and the use of other numerical criteria enable one to select a relatively small number of characters which effectively reproduce the salient features of referednce classification based on the entire set of available characters. The conclusion are discussed in relation to views on characters weighting and the stability of numeriocal classificatin

摘要:
Abstract.Rhachicreagraspecies are confined to Central American wet tropical forests, both lowland and montane. The asymmetric aedeagus with the left penis valve suppressed is unique in the Acridoidea. Keys are provided to both sexes of the seventeen recognized species:achrostasp.n.,anchidiphalarasp.n.,astytophallussp.n.,brachysphagiocercasp.n.,drymocnemensissp.n.,gracilisBruner,Haematodessp.n.,Khayachorsasp.n.,himantocercasp.n.mayasp.n.,melanotasp.n., sp.n.,mexicanaHebard,nothraRehn (=pallipesBruner, =aeruginosaBruner syn.n),obsidiansp.n.,olmecasp.n.,pomatiaphallussp.n.,sphagicercasp.n.; the small geographical ranges of these species argue for great care in the choice of representative forest blocks for purposes of faunal conservation in Central America.

摘要:
Abstract.A new troglophilic species,Ptomaphaginus chapmani, is described from caves in Sarawak. it has the very unusual combination of very reduced eyes but functiobnal wings and may be interpreted as a phylogenetic relict, with characters suggesting a New World origin for this Oriental genus.
