AbstractDie aus Dorschlebertran (Gadus morrhua) auf dem Wege über Ausfrieren, Säulen‐, Dünnschicht‐ und Hochdruckflüssigkeitschromatographie isolierten natürlichen Vitamin D3‐Ester erwiesen sich durch die Analyse (GC, GC/MS und HR‐MS) von Spalt‐und Derivatisierungsprodukten als Ester der 5,8,11,14,17‐Eicosapentaensäure und der 4,7,10,13,16,19‐Docosahexaensäure. Die beiden Fettsäuren wurden gaschromatographisch als Methylester und massenspektrometrisch als Pyrrolidide identifiziert, Vitamin D3als Trimethylsilyläther der GC‐Pyrolyseprodukte charakterisiert. Synthetisierter Docosahexaensäure‐D3‐Ester besaß in der HPLC gleiche Retentionszeit wie der entsprechen

AbstractRicinusölfettsäure‐Estolide (Polyricinolsäuren) unterschiedlichen Kondensationsgrades wurden durch 2stdg. Erhitzen (120° C bis 240° C) von Ricinusölfettsäure unter CO2‐Umwälzung und vermindertem Druck synthetisiert, durch fettchemische Kennzahlen analysiert und mit Hilfe der DC auf Kieselgel 60 Fertigplatten in Ricinolsäure, Di‐, Tri‐, Tetraricinolsäure usw. aufgetrennt. Des weiteren wurden die Estolide mit Hilfe der zweidimensionalen Arbeitsweise in zwei Reihen von Estoliden, in die Estolide aus nur Ricinolsäure und die Estolide, die außer Ricinolsäure (als Abschluß der Kette) eine andere Fettsäure enthalten, getrennt. Auch gehärtete Ricinusölfettsäure (techn. 12‐Hydroxy‐Stearinsäure) bildet Estolide und läßt sich mit Hilfe der gleichen Arbeitsweise auftrennen. AbstractDie Verminderung des Fettanteils in der Nahrung führt zu einer Abnahme des Gesamtphosphatidspiegels im Plasma, der durch die Veränderung der Lecithinfraktion bestimmt wird. Der Lecithinspiegel der Versuchspersonen war unter einer Formeldiät mit einem Fettanteil von 25% der Energie deutlich niedriger als bei 33%. Der P/S‐Quotient hat bei einem Fettanteil von 33% der Energie noch einen Einfluß auf den Lecithinspiegel im Blut. Bei einem Fettanteil von 25% der Energie waren die durch Modifikationen des Fettanteils bedingten Unterschiede der Serumlecithinspiegel statistisch nicht mehr signifikant. Der Plasmaspiegel von Lysolecithin nahm bei der Reduktion des Fettanteils in der Nahrung ebenfalls ab, änderte sich unter den verschiedenen Fettarten aber nicht. AbstractThe diffusion and release of chloramphenicol from wool wax containing different proportions of hard paraffin was investigated. It was found that increasing the hard paraffin concentration in the base results in a corresponding decrease in both diffusion and release rates of the drug. The obtained results were correlated to certain rheological parameters measured for these bases. The effect of cetrimide on the diffusion and release of chloramphenicol from wool wax was also studied. It was depicted that cetrimide whether present in the matrix or in the diffusion or release media, increases markedly the rates of diffusion and release of chloramphenicol. The effect of cetrimide is proportional to its concentration.

AbstractThe fatty acid pattern of muscle and fat tissue of the arctic seal, birds and mammals are presented and compared with the fatty acid pattern of the corresponding tissues of domestic animals normally used as meat sources in western countries. The triglyceride content of muscle samples were also assayed in these animals. A gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry system was used for the localization of the position of double bonds in the unsaturated acids using their pyrrolidides. The data indicated that the fat tissue from the seal is the major source of polyenoic acids i. e., tri‐ and pentaenoic acids in the diet of the arctic hunter. These acids are derived metabolically from linolenic acid. In contrast polyenoic acids i. e. linoleic acid and its derivatives in the non‐arctic diet are mainly supplied from muscle tissue of non‐ruminant animals as well from the sources of vegetable origin. The fat content of muscle tissue in arctic animals was not lower than that of domestic meat. AbstractDie Anwendung des Antioxidans Ethoxyquin bei pflanzlichen Produkten führt zu Rückständen an Ethoxyquin und zu einer Vielzahl von Abbau‐ bzw. Reaktionsprodukten. Als wahrscheinlich primäres Reaktionsprodukt wurde die Verbindung M1mit Hilfe der UV‐, IR‐ und1H‐NMR‐Spektroskopie sowie der Massenspektrometrie als 1,1′,2,2′‐Tetrahydro‐2,2,2′,2′,4,4′‐hexamethyl‐6,6′‐diäthoxy‐1,8′‐bichinolin identifiziert. Zwei andere Abbauprodukte wurden als oligomere oder polymere Verbindungen charakterisiert, die neben Ethoxyquin‐Monomeren Strukturelemente enthalten, die durch oxidative Ringöffnung des Heterocyclus gebildet werden. Die covalente Bindung von Ethoxyquin an Lignin wurde als die dominierende Reaktion erkannt. AbstractFatty acid composition of six species belonging to different less familiar botanical families was determined by making use of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. All species were found to have high iodine values, out of which one species (item 2) showed iodine value above 180. The total of “linolenic” and “linoleic” acids varied from 61.1 to 74.8%. AbstractDie Hautoberflächenlipide sind ein Gemisch aus Talgdrüsenlipiden und epidermalen Lipiden. Eine Seborrhoe (fettige, „ölige”︁ Haut) beruht auf einer vermehrten Sekretionsleistung der Talgdrüse. Auch die Seborrhoe der Aknepatienten ist durch die vermehrte Lipidsynthese der Talgdrüsen bedingt. Die Talgdrüsen sind holokrine Drüsen, d. h. sie besitzen kein Lumen und ihr Sekret wird durch Abbau der Zellen gebildet. Sie sind überall in der Haut mit Ausnahme der Handflächen und der Fußsohlen vorhanden. Die Talgdrüsensekretion ist teilweise genetisch determiniert. Einfluß von Lebensalter und Geschlecht auf die Talgdrüsensekretion weisen auf eine hormonelle Steuerung hin. Mittels Bestimmung der Hautoberflächenlipide, der Mitoserate sowie DNS‐Synthesezeit und durch Ermittlung der Migrationszeit können Aussagen zur Zellkinetik der Talgdrüse und ihrer Beeinflußbarkeit durch Medikamente (z. AbstractThe nonionic surfactants polyoxyethylene nonyl phenol ethers have been used as models for the investigation of the change of the effective HLB of surfactants under influence of several hydroxy compounds using the phenol index method. These water‐soluble additives include alcohols, glycols and glycol ethers. The change of the effective HLB of nonionic surfactant depends on the amounts and hydrophobicity of studied additives. In order to explain the change of the effective HLB of surfactants, the considerations based on the effects of the same additives on the micelle formation are also presented. These results are in remarkable agreement with the effects of the same substances on the effective HLB using other method
