Abstract3‐Substituierte 2‐Naphtholderivate ergeben mitN‐Methyl‐2‐naphthylamin und Paraformaldehyd in guten Ausb. entspr. Spirocyclohexadienone, wobei auch 9‐Phenanthrol diesem Reaktionstyp zugänglich ist. Grundsätzlich liefern 4‐substituierte 1‐Naphthole ebenfalls Spiroketone, die jedoch labiler sind und in geringerem Ausmaß anfallen. Abstract24‐Acetylaminofevicordin D‐glucosid (1) wurde als neue Nebenkomponente aus den Samen vonFevillea cordifolia (Cucurbitaceae)isoliert und seine Struktur mit spektroskopischen Methoden aufgeklärt. Wie Experimente zeigten, reagiert das Enon‐System in der Seitenkette von Fevicordin A‐glucosid (2), dem Hauptinhaltsstoff der Samen, mit Nucleophilen in einerMichael‐Addition. AbstractMitsunobuinversion of the (S)‐configurated lactate (S)‐7, which is prepared in four steps starting form (S)‐tyrosine, leads to the (R)‐configurated lactate (R)‐7. The key step in the transformation of the enantiomeric lactates (S)‐7and (R)‐7into the benzomorphan analogous tricycles (R,S)‐16a,b, (S,R)‐16a,b, (S,S)‐22, and (R,R)‐22is an intramolecularOxa‐Pictet‐Spenglerreaction: The amides (S)‐13, (R)‐13, (S)‐19and (R)‐19, in which the carbonyl moiety — masked as an acetal — is linked to the 2‐phenylethanol moiety, are cyclized to give the tricyclic amides (R,S)‐15, (S,R)‐15, (S,S)‐21, and (R,R)‐21, respectively. AbstractTwo diastereomeric derivatives of 3β‐(1‐phenylethylamino)cholest‐5,6‐enes,viz.R(+)7bandS,(−)7chave been synthesized by the reaction of racemic 1‐phenylethylamine1aand cholesterylp‐toluenesulfonate2. The two isomers7band7cseparable by crystallization or by chromatography, were obtained in the ratio of 1:1.5 respectively, resulting in 20 % diastereomeric excess of product7c. AbstractNedocromil‐Natrium1zeigt ein stark pH‐abhängiges Reduktionsverhalten. Während im Bereich pH 2–5 zwei Stufen zu beobachten sind, wobei Stufe 1 in zwei Teilprozesse (1a und 1b) aufgespalten ist, tritt bei pH 6 erstmalig eine 3. Stufe auf. Bei pH‐Werten>7 sind im Gleichspannungspolarogramm nur noch die Stufen 1a, 2 und 3 vorhanden. AbstractDMAP reacts readily with chloromethylcycloalkyl ethers and α‐chloroethyl alkyl ethers to give stable (1a–1e) and unstable (2a–2h) pyridinium chlorides. Reaction of these chlorides with NaOH produces the corresponding 4‐pyridones. All the chlorides synthesized showed antibiotic activity.
