摘要:
In a year-long experiment on one hospital unit, the team nursing approach was refined: permanent team leaders were named and members were assigned to each team on a permanent basis. At various intervals throughout the project, team personnel were questioned regarding job satisfaction, and patients were questioned regarding their perception of the nursing care they received. The results of the experiment and the findings from both patients and nurses are presented.

When confronted with the changeover to a centralized education department, the nurses administrator fears loss of control over nursing education. She is concerned about communications with the department, quality and quantity of programs, accountability, and so on. This article examines these concerns and proposes a model of centralized education that provides for a separate education function in nursing.

Interaction modeling is an educational technique that can be used to develop leadership skills and increase self-confidence in new graduate team leaders. Interaction modeling does not teach theory; instead, positive models of behavior are presented and specific steps are provided for role playing in simulated situations to teach leadership skills.
