摘要:
AbstractA two‐grid approach for quasioptical bandpass filter design is presented. In this design, an inductive/capacitive grid on one side of a dielectric substrate is transformed to an effective capacitive/inductive reactance at the other grid plate, producing a parallel resonant circuit. Two bandpass filters for use in the millimeter region have been fabricated. Low‐loss power transmission at the design frequencies has been achieved with good quantitative agreement with theory. © 1992 John Wiley&Sons,

AbstractVarious coaxial line structures having a cross section in which an equiarmed cross is concentric with an external square are analyzed by means of numerical inversion of the Schwarz‐Christoffel conformal transformation, considering angular offset between conductors and electric or magnetic side walls. Geometries with rectangular outer conductor and off‐centered inner cross conductors are considered. Previous works by Riblet [1] and Lin [2–4]are generalized or completed. © 1992 John Wiley&Son

AbstractReduction of radar cross‐section of dihedral corner reflectors using simulated corrugated surface (SCS) is reported. AbstractA novel tuning structure for the identical three‐guide coupler is proposed to obtain high power transfer efficiency without waveguide bending. The basic principles of three‐guide couplers with a symmetric tuning are analyzed by applying the exact slab theory. Based on numerical calculations, novel coupling characteristics of the tuning structure, compared with those of the identical three‐guide coupler, are demonstrated, and their possible applications are discussed. © 1992 John Wiley&Son

AbstractIn this article the Green's function of the transverse scalar potential V is studied extensively. For a grounded single‐layered substrate the analytical expressions are derived and a detailed discussion of the quadrature of the Sommerfeld integral is given. The singularity due to the surface wave is examined by means of a Taylor expansion and constitutes the correct evaluation of the integral. By separating the function into a regular and a singular part the Green's function is calculated exactly. The results are compared with the static approximation in the space domain. © 1992 John Wiley&Sons. I

AbstractIn this article calculations of power components transmitted and reflected at the step discontinuities in dielectric‐slab and dielectric‐loaded waveguides are presented using the geometric‐optics approach. Step discontinuities regarding the dielectric slab thickness and refractive index are considered. Numerical results are shown to be in good agreement with those of other rigorous methods. The computation involved in this approach is efficient since the associated mathematical formulation can be analytically expressed from the geometric optics point of view. © 1992 John Wiley&Son

AbstractThis article presents a method of transistor parameter extraction using multiharmonic Load‐Pull (MHLP) measurements completed with modified harmonic balance calculations. An advantage of this approach is that the parameters of the nonlinear elements of the transistor are obtained solely from large‐signal measurements at the fundamental and the generated harmonic frequencies. The calculated parameters of the nonlinear model of a commercial MESFET (NE 71083), are found suitable for large‐signal operating mode at different impedance loading. © 1992 John Wiley&Son
