Let X be a totally convex space and let ãbe a congruence relation on X. In section 1 we give a simple and complete description of the congruence classes that are contained in the interior. Section 2 deals with those congruence classes, which are not contained in the interior, and some general results are derived.Section 3 gives a detailed description of the latter congruence classes in case X is separated. In section 4 we enumerate all congruence relations on the free totally convex space on two generators. The last section gives a complete characterization of all two-generated totally convex spaces and closes with a pictorial representation of each of them.

In this short paper, our main result gives and internal characterization in A of when the smash products of graded rings have the ideal intersection property. This result generalizes S. Montgomery and D. Passman’s result on criteria for the smash products of graded rings to be prime or simple.

Letbe a purely transcendental extension of the fieldkof transcendence degree d. A k-automorphism of K is said to be affine (resp. linear) if it acts on the k-subspace of K generated by. In this article, we give a simple canonical form for affine automorphisms (modulo linear ones) and we extend to affine automorphisms (a stronger form of) the negligibility theorem proved for linear ones in [3,Theorem 1.5], We also discuss the question of how much of an affine automorphism (of finite order) is determined by its order and we show that in certain cases an affine automorphism is completely characterized by its order.
