We prove in this paper a structure theorem for prime rings whose symmetric ring of quotients has nonzero socle. Then this result is applied to prime rings satisfying a generalized identity, and to prime rings having an alternate involution.

We introduce a notion of separativeness for positively ordered monoids (P.O.M.'s), similar in definition to the notion of separativeness for commutative semigroups but which has a simple categorical equivalent, weaker that injectivity, the transfer property. We show that existence in a separative extension of the ground P.O.M. of a solution of a given linear system is equivalent to the satisfaction by the ground P.O.M. of a certain set of equations and inequations, the resolvent. We deduce in particular a characterization of the P.O.M.'s which are infective relatively to the class of embeddings of countable P.O.M.'s; those include in particular divisible weak-cardinal algebras. We also deduce that finitely additive positive non-standard measures invariant relatively to a given exponentially bounded group separate equidecomposability types modulo this group.

An algorithm for producing identities which hold in any given finite quasigroup is described. Identities produced by the algorithm are used to prove several results concerning varieties of quasigroups. In particular varieties of quasigroups associated with various combinatorial designs are examined.

Let K be a field, and δ a derivation of K. The right zeros of skew polynomials in the formal differential operator ring K[T,δ], with commutation law Tα - αT = δ(α) for any α ε K, are logarithmic derivatives of solutions of linear differential equations in some differential extension of K. For K the Puiseux series field over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, and δ the classical derivation, we prove that any polynomial of degree > 1 in K[T,δ] splits, without unicity, into factors of degree one.
