The functors, an integer originated in algebraic topology but quickly became standard algebraic tools especially useful in commutative algebra. The values of these functors are computed using either a projective resolution of M or one of N, or the double complex that one gets by tensoring these two resolutions.

We give an explicit description of the Kac-Peterson-Lepowsky constr tion of the basic representation for the affine Lie algebra sˆo2n(C). Using the conjugacy classes of the Weyl group of sˆo2n(C), we describe all equivalent maximal Heisenberg subalgebras (HSA's) of the correspond: affine Lie algebra. We associate to these HSA's multicomponent charged and neutral free fermionic fields. The boson-fermion correspondence these fields provides us with fermionic vertex operators, whose 'norr, ordered products' give the (twisted) vertex operators of the Kac-Peters( Lepowsky construction.

It is proved that the smallest number v=(n,F) such that the matrix algebra Mn(F) (n> 2) over an arbitrary fieldFcan be generated (as an algebra) byvidempotents isfor the remaining cases. The minimal number of idempotent generators of a split finite-dimensional semi-simple algebra is also obtained.

In this paper, we not only give a complete classification ofinite dimensional indecomposablemodules of the Lie superalgebra 5/(2/1) with diagonal Cartan subalgebra, but also compely classify those modules with nondiagonal Cartan subalgebra. Thus, by taking all possibe direct sums of such modules, we have effectively classified all the finite dimensional sl(2/\)-modules.

In this paper we investigate algebraic dependencies between skew derivations of a prime ring mainly in the case when they commute with basic automorphisms; we also consider a Hopf algebra defining by the skew derivations and using its terms we discuss the problem about algebraic dependencies in general situation.
