摘要:
AbstractAn empirical linear relationship between the ratio ofcisinteraction constants and the ratio of stretching force constants was derived and a method for determining the ratio ofcisinteraction constants for ligand substituted metal carbonyls was proposed. Results of the present work would enable us to assess the validity of the Cotton‐Kraihanzel approximation ofk=kcand to evaluate the correctness and the reliability of Some anomalous carbonyl force constants evaluated with other methods. The reliable correlation of the ratio of stretching force constants with the ratio of interaction constants would be helpful to clarify some ambiguous vibrational assignments made previously for the carbonyl bands of metal carbonyls, or to analyze isotope spectra of carbonyl bands for other related molecules in the same serie

AbstractDiels‐Alder reactions of sixo‐benzoquinones with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate has been examined. The yields of adducts vary with the natures of theo‐benzoquinones, 3,4‐Di‐n‐propyl‐(1c), 3,6‐di‐n‐propyl (1d). 3. 4‐diallyl‐(1e) and 3, 6‐diallyl‐o‐benzoquinone (1f) are found to give bicyclic a‐diketones exclusively without the formation of 1,4‐dioxine derivatives, the yields ranging from 20 to 70%. In the case of 4, 5‐dimethoxy‐o‐benzoquinone, dimethyl 4, 5‐dimethoxyphthalate is produced in 42% yield, presumably derived from the decomposition of the corresponding initially formed α‐diketone. 3, 6‐Di‐n‐propyl‐4, 5‐dimethoxy‐o‐benzoquinone deteriorates without addition to dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate upon heating. AbstractKinetic data of silver catalysed oxidation of dl‐atrolactic acid (A. L. A.) by peroxydisulphate ion are reported. AbstractThe 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 interactions of lanthanon (III) isopropoxide with monofunctional bidentate Schiff bases as salicylidene‐o‐toluidine (SOTH) and salicylidene‐p‐p‐toluidine (SPTH) have been investigated. 摘要:
AbstractNiobium (V) reacts with 5,7‐dinitro‐8‐hydroxyquinoline to form yellowish‐orange coloured complex having maximum absorbance at 420nmin citric acid medium. The reaction is slow at room temperate, it is complete in 15 minutes at temperate 40°. The colour is stable for at least 16 hours. Effects of heating temperate, time,pH, reagent concentration and other variables have been studied. The system confirms the Beer's law over the concentration range investigated. Optimum condition range for measurement in 10mmcell is 1–12 μg of niobium. The molar absorptivity is 5.327 × 108litre moles−1cm−1. The interference from foreign ions has been evaluated.
