AbstractMössbauer and ir spectroscopies have been applied to the study of radiation effect on Fe11X(CN)3(X=NO+, NH3, H2O, NO2−, SO3=) and Fe111X(CN)3(X=NH1, H2O, NO2−). Fe(II) complexes were not oxidized to Fe(III), whereas Fe(III) complexes were reduced to Fe(II). Na2[FeNH3(CN)3]·H2O was partially reduced at 7 hour irradiation, but [FeNO(CN)2]=was obtained at the longer irradiations due to the replacement of H by O produced by water radio

AbstractThe oil ofEryngium foetidum, Linn. consists 9.06% of acid part and 90.94% of neutral part. The constituents are 4.80% lauric acid, 2.09% 3, 4‐dimethylbenzoic acid, 1.17% capric acid, 1.00% of an unidentified acid (p‐bromophenacyl ester m. p. 68°), 2.59% α‐pinene, 2.26%p‐cymene, 1.88% decanal, 72.73% of a mixture of 2, 4, 5‐trimethylbenzaldehyde, 5‐dodecanone and 4‐hydroxy‐3, 5‐dimethylacetophenone, 10.16% sesquiterpene keton

摘要:
AbstractA new, sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of palladium(II) with methylthymol blue has been developed. The palladium methylthymol blue complex has an absorption maximum at 530nm. The colour reaction has a sensitivity of 0.005µgof palladium/cm2and obeys Beer's Law over the range 0.4 to 3.24ppmof palladium. The effects of concentration of perchloric acid, reagent, heating, stability of colour and diverse ions have been investigated. The ratio of metal: ligand in the complex is 1:1 and the formation constant was calculated to be 1.18×10

摘要:
AbstractThe tensammetric measurements indicated an appreciable interaction ofo‐cresol with piperidine as well as with triethanolamine in aqueous media. The sharp discontinuities in the mixtures ofo‐cresol + piperidine ando‐cresol + triethanolamine at the mole ratio 3:1 foro‐cresol to amine are observed by tensammetric, conductommetric and high frequency measurements. The shift of peak potential as well as increase in the magnitude of peak of the mixture have been utilized in determining the composition of the complexes by tensammetric measurements. The nature of formation of such complexes has been predicted. The nature of such interactions have been investigated by infra‐red studies. The molar ratio of phenol to amine (piperidine and triethanolamine) are also estimated

摘要:
AbstractAbout 99% of active thorium and almost entire inactive thorium is retained on precipitates of tin disulphide and antimony sulphide. The absorption of inactive thorium is slightly faster than active thorium. The retention of active thorium decreases in presence of inactive thorium. Analysis of retention data confirms the heterogeneous distribution of thorium over the precipitate of Sn(IV) and Sb(III) sulphides. Retention takes place by absorption when precipitate is less. In presence of greater amount of precipitate inhomogeneous distribution and diffusion of thorium ions takes place.
