摘要:
AbstractAnodic deposition of iodide ion on silver at 25° in aqueous (0.5MKNO3) and in 90% (w/w) ethanol‐water (0.05MKClO4) solutions was studied galvanostatically. The exchange current density, transfer coefficient and the rate constants for the electrode reaction were evaluated. The experimental results revealed that the overall electrode reaction and the charge‐transfer step was the same one,i.e., , which might be assumed highly reversible as reflected by the exchange current density (i) and transfer coefficient (α). The numerical values of the rate constants, and at 25° were, in aqueous solution, 1.02×10−5and 2.88×10−6, and in ethanol solution, 2.88×10−5and 6.3×10−6cm s

AbstractThe photochemistry of diazomethane in presence of hydrogen sulfide gas has been studied at 4358 and 3660‐Å. Singlet methylene radicals react with hydrogen sulfide to from methanethiol which decomposes at lower pressures. AbstractConstant‐stepsized computer simulation of chemical reactions gives unreasonable results when the accepted stepsize exceeds a limit. The maximum permitted stepsize is found as the lifetime of the most reactive intermediate in the mechanism from mathematical derivations on simple reaction models. 摘要:
AbstractIn this paper, the kinetical study of catalytic hydrogenation of catechol over platinum metal catalysts in liquid phase under room temperature and one atmospheric pressure was investigated.Simple models “straight line” model 1 together with “triangle” model 2 were used to interpret for the change of compositions of samples traced during the reaction process, and the interpretation was found to be satisfactory. These models are as following:Model 1: consecutive reaction pathcatechol→2‐hydroxycyclohexanone→cyclohexane‐1,2‐diolModel 2: catechol→cyclohexane‐1, 2‐diol directly was added to reaction path of model 1.The relative reaction rates during hydrogenation processes over ruthenium, rhodium, palladium and platinum were calculated too.It was also found that the strength of oxygen affinity with catalysts was the factor influenced the selectivity of reaction path and the stereoselectivity of cis

摘要:
AbstractFoam separation techniques are evaluated to determine if they would be feasible for removing cadmium (II) from waste water. Variables such aspH, ionic strength, collector concentration, and interfering ions were studied to determine their effects on separation. Sodium laury sulfate, sodium sterate, and hexadecyltrimethyl‐ammonium bromide were chosen as the collector; Fe(OH)3and Al(OH)3were used as the adsorbing colloid, and sodium tripolyphosphate was used as modifier. It was found that cadmium could be effectively removed using various foam separation techniques. Cadmium levels were reduced from 5ppmto 0.003ppmin 60minutesfoaming with sodium laury sulfate. Foam separation of cadmium sterate with hexadecyltrimethyl‐ammonium bromide was effective even at very high ionic strength, such as 1.0MNa
