摘要:
AbstractThe formation of 1 : 2 titanium(III) complex with chromotropic acid (4, 5‐dihydroxy‐2, 7‐naphthalene‐disulfonic acid) was observed by spectrophotometric measurements at various ionic strengths. An expression, [Ti(III)]/D=1/Δϵ + αH2+/KΔϵ[H2R2−]2, was derived for the determination of the formation constant,K=7.2×102liter2mol−2for the Ti(III).(HR)2ion in thepH range of 1.3–1.8 at constant ionic strength,I=0.2M, at 25°C. The thermodynamic data for the reaction, Ti(III)+2H3R2−=Ti(III) (HR)2+2H+, were calculated to beΔG° = −16 kJ mol−1ΔH° = 18 kJ mol

AbstractThe normal vibrations of tetrahedral hydride and octahedral hexafluoride have been studied in the Cartesian coordinates. Equations relating the force constants with the vibrational frequencies are derived by using symmetry coordinates. Numerical values of the force constants and normal coordinates of these molecules are tabulated.

AbstractRuthenium(III) complexation with 2‐amino‐3‐hydroxpyridine is studied spectrophotometrically.
