摘要:
AbstractCerium(III) chelate of 7‐iodo‐8‐hydroxyquinoline‐5‐sulphonic acid(ferron) has been studied spectrophotometrically in aqueous solution at 25°C and at an ionic strength of 0.1M. The formation of this chelate waspH dependent, and the optimumpH range was between 5.5 to 6.0. Its mole ratio of ligand to cerium(III) ion was found to be 2 to 1 stoichiometry and the formation constant, logK, was determined as 10.15. Enthalpy and entropy changes characterizing the formation of the chelate have been calculated as follows: ΔG° =‐13.85kcal mole‐1, ΔH°= −5.03kcal mole‐1, ΔS°=29.56eu mole‐1. 摘要:
AbstractThe effect of temperature, agitation, and content of gold in the solution on the thickness of electroplated gold at various current densities can be easily explained by their effect on the limiting current. Diffusion coefficient of aurocyanide ion, thickness of diffusion layer, and the activity of aurocyanide ion in the bulk solution are the three major factors to affect the limiting current. It was found that the change of temperature will affect both diffusion coefficient and thickness of diffusion layer. However, the thickness of diffusion layer is mainly determined by the means of agitation.

AbstractThe peptization of thorium hydroxide and thorium oxide sol on the preparation of microsphere of nuclear fuels are studied. These sols are prepared mainly by dispersing hydrated thorium oxide in nitric acid. A main character of ThO2sol is its NO3−/Th mole ratio. After peptization, the nitrate is presented as two forms; i. e., sorbed by particles of the sol and free in the aqueous solutions. The adsorbed NO3−/Th mole ratio depends on the average crystallite size of thorium oxide. In certain size range, the adsorbed NO3−/Th of ThO2sol prepared from thorium oxalate is inversely proportional to the crystallite size.
