摘要:
When we encounter lung disease on chest radiographs and computed tomography (CT), it is helpful to decide whether the abnormality predominantly involves the airspaces or the interstitium of the lung. With the introduction of CT, and particularly high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT), it is clear thut a third category exists between alveolar disease and interstitial diseuse; this pattern has become known as “ground-glass opacity” (GGU).The purpose of this lesson is to familiarize the radiologist with the radiographic appearance of groundglass opacities in the lungs and to outline the many diverse causes of this pattern.
