摘要:
An automatic AVHRR navigation method has been tested using ARGOS or TBUS orbital elements as input data. Satisfactory results have been obtained on 16 NOAA-9 and NOAA-10 orbits between 19 June 1988 and 26 September 1988: a mean error of 3·5km and a standard deviation of this error of 1·2km with ARGOS, a mean error of 2·3km and a standard deviation of 0·6km with TBUS. The positioning error consists of a pixelerror which is systematic for each satellite (−1·6 pixels for NOAA-9 and 2·0 pixels for NOAA-10) and a variable line error which is mainly due to the positioning error of the satellite on its trajectory.

摘要:
Landsat-MSS data covering 636 ✗ 457 pixels with band-to-band rnisregistration was digitally analysed for assessing the effect of misregistration on classification accuracy of land use/landcover mapping. Raw MSS data with band-to-band misregistration was geometricaly corrected using GCPs and a polynominal transformation of the first order. Subsequently, both raw and geometrically corrected data were analysed on a DIPIX system using a Gaussian maximum likelihood algorithm. Results indicate a substantial degradation in the classification accuracy due to mixed pixels which have remained unclassified owing to misregistration between bandpairs.

摘要:
Agriculture and natural resource based industries are the mainstay of Malaysianeconomy. A national remote sensing programme is formulated with the objective of providing an effective management tool for sustained production of these resources while at the same time safeguarding the environment. A major component of this programme is the establishing of a Malaysian Centre for Remote Sensing (MCRS) which functions to provide coordination for activities related to remote sensing technology in the country. Facilities available at MCRS include image processing system (IPS∥ capable of processing and analysing satellite and airborne data from different sources including Landsat, SPOT, MOS, SAR and AP, and geographic information systems (GIS) for analysis of spatially referenced data, and a dedicated photographic laboratory for high resolution hard copy outputs. The capability to integrate remote sensing and GIS data into a spatially referenced environment is the unique feature of the facilities at MCRS.
