摘要:
April 1991 saw the finals of the 1991 young Electronic Designer Awards held at the Science Museum, London. The awards were established in 1985 to encourage and reward electronic innovation among young people while creating an appreciation of the true requirements of the commercial world. At the age of 12, Aidan Charlton, with his ‘Pocket Sized Electronic Depth Gauge’, was one of the youngest of the 21 young designers who took part in the 1991 awards. This article contains some of Aidan's thoughts in the run up to the finals and highlights the enthusiasm and interest that can be generated by such an event.
