摘要:
AbstractThe X‐ray diffraction intensities of Bragg reflections have been measured for KRS‐5 (TIBr0.16I0.54) at room temperature. From the observed intensities the mean Debye‐Waller factor and the X‐ray Debye temperature have been evaluated. The values of the Debye‐Waller factor, mean square amplitude of vibration and the Debye temperature are 2.73 ± 0.06 Å2, 0.104 ± 0.002 Å2and 90 ± 1 K

摘要:
AbstractSome interesting oberservations on the DC electroluminescence of (ZnS, ZnO):Cu, Cl electroluminors are reported. A burst of emission is observed at the time of switching on (also at switching off) the field which very slowly decays to a saturation value. The time for saturated emission decreases with increasing temperature. The emission colours of bursts and the saturated light are different. The intensities of the bursts are dependent upon the polarity of the electrodes and the temperature. Possible explanations to these effects are proposed.

摘要:
AbstractStatic and dynamic effects of a fast bistable device containing a ferroelectric liquid crystal are investigated theoretically. The switching mechanisms are different at low and high electric fields. There is a critical voltage which separates a bulk switching regime from the regime of domain wall motion. This threshold is determined as a function of physical device parameters.
