摘要:
ABSTRACT:Seventy patients with a clinical diagnosis ofMalasseziafolliculitis were studied, of which 48 were confirmed on finding unipolar budding yeastlike organisms on gram‐stained microscopy or histology specimens. The epidemiologicandclinicalfeatures of these 48 cases (M = 44; F = 4) wereanalyzed. The typical Singaporean patient withMalassezia folliculitis is a young man of mean age 22.2 years with erythematous follicular papules or pustules on the upper back, shoulders, upper chest, and sides of the back. ABSTRACT:In four cases of acne keloidalis nuchae, varying stages of transepithelial elimination were observed histologically, suggesting that acne keloidalis represents a transepithelial elimination disorder akin to perforating folliculitis.
