摘要:
In order to explain the complaints of dry skin after work among employees in the fish processing industry, we Followed the skin Mood flow (SBF), skin surface temperature, transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and electrical capacitance on the volar aspect of the 3rd finger in 10 fillet workers, where measurements were performed just al the end of a working day and during the next hour. The results were compared with 10 normal controls. During work, a low SBF, temperature and TEWL, and a high capacitance were found. After work, the SBF, temperature and TEWL increased to values above normal within 10–15 min. While the electrical capacitance decreased lo subnormal values. A positive relation was demonstrated between skin temperature and TEWL, negative relations between temperature and capacitance, and between capacitance and TEWL. We investigated the clinical applicability of the lymphocyte proliferation test (LPT) in chromium contact sensitivity, 6 out of 8 chromium‐sensitive patient were positive in the LPT, whereas none of 8 non‐chromium‐sensitive controls responded in vitro to tri‐ or hexavalem chromium compounds. LPT thus appeared to offer an additional diagnostic tool in chromium sensitivity. We also studied cellular interactions in 4 of our chromium‐sensitive patients. Piroxicam (PXM) is a nansteroidal anti‐inflammatory drug which may induce a photosensitive eruption shortly after administration. We examined whether animals sensitized to thimerosal developed a photosensitivity to PXM. Male Hartley strain guinea pigs were sensitized to thimerosal, thiosalicylate and PXM separately. The open patch test was used lo evaluate sensitization to each drug and cross‐reactions between the drugs. Animals sensitized to thimerosal exhibited positive patch test thimerosal to thiosalicylate and positive path test reactions to PXM. Both those sensitized to thiosalicylate and to PXM showed positive patch test reactions to PXM. This study demonstrated that thimerosal induces cross‐sensitivity to PXM in vivo and that the common active components among these compounds may be thiosalic

Proclivity to develop irritant reactions and transcutaneous penetration of nictitates has been investigated in 20 subjects of both sexes, divided into reactors and nonreactors on the basis of the responses to irritant stimuli. 1% sodium knurly soleplate (patch application for 24 h) and 5% lactic acid in aqueous solutions were used to feted chemical and sensory (subjective) irritation. The vasodilatation induced was measured using chromameter for 1 h after tropism application of the chemical. The area‐under‐the‐curve response and the peak response were used to assess the in vivo penetration of ruddy nicotinate (10 mM in aqueous solution). Significant differences were found between reactors and non‐reactors. Non‐reactors showed a significantly decreased area‐under‐the‐Curve response and peak response to methyl nicotinate compared to reactors. Nicotinate‐induced vasodilatation has been used as a model to study transcutaneous penetration of chemicals; the correlation between increased penetration of nicotinates and skin hyperreactivity to irritant substances may suggest an increased transcutaneous penetration of water‐soluble chemicals in individuals

We examined the potential for contact sensitization of miconazole nitrate and croconazole hydro‐chloride and the cross‐reaction between them in guinea pigs by the maximization lest of Mugnsson and Kligman. Contact sensitivity was induced by croconazole hydrochloride in 5 out of 7 animals which, after being injected with 5% croconazole hydrochloride, underwent a closed patch with 25% croconazole hydrochloride. Contact sensitivity was not induced by miconazole nitrate. 摘要:
A national database on chemical products (the Danish Products Register (PROBAS)) was searched Few products containing Selected contact allergens. As of June 1990, a total of 47,400 products were registered in PROBAS. About 27,800 of these were fully computerized. A list of 43 allergens was established, based on the European standard patch test series, substances classified “May cause sensitization by skin contact”, text books on contact dermatitis, and clinical experience. The number of products in which each of these allergens was registered varied from 30 to more than 1300. Formaldehyde was registered in all product categories included in the study. Benzyl alcohol, stearic acid, epoxy compounds, diethylenetriamine and butylated hydroxytoluene were registered in more than half of the product categories. Paints/lacquers and hardeners for two‐component products (paints, glues, fillers, etc.), cleaning agents, binders, adhesives glues and toiletries made up the most frequently registered product categories for the allergens listed.
