摘要:
Emission bands of the (B-X) system of HgI-radicals and mercury atomic lines during transitions from various excited levels to lower levels have been observed due to collisions of N+and N+2ions and HgI2molecules. By using the integrated intensity of these emissions, HgI2vapor density and the charge particle density, emission cross-sections have been measured at different laboratory kinetic energies of the projectile ions.

摘要:
Natural abundance17O NMR data for a series of thiol esters and related analogs are reported. The carbonyl signal of the thiol esters range from 463 ppm to 514 ppm; these values are downfield of their oxygen analogs by ca. 150 ppm. A linear relationship between the17O NMR chemical shift of the thio-compounds and their oxo-analogs is observed.

A method for measuring scattered radiation using a UV/Vis Spectrophotometer without accesory as integrating sphere is described in this paper. This method can detect the scattered radiation because the spectrophotometer has two sample positions and the detector subtends a different solid angle at each position.

The coordination of Ti in borosilicate glasses have been studied by XRF, XPS and Raman spectroscopy. The results show that most of the Ti atoms are four-fold coordination in borosilicate glasses.

摘要:
The three new vibrational bands in the range 5680–5720 Å of the fluorescence excitation spectra of NO2were measured at the normal temperature and were assigned with the rotational quantum numbers. In these bands there are strong spin and rotational forbidden transitions which express the complexity of NO2spectra.

摘要:
A simple spring model for the molecular vibrations of non-linear triatomic molecules with C2vsymmetry is described in terms of Cartesian co-ordinates. Analytical expressions for the stretching and bending mode frequencies are obtained and compared with previous derivations. Optimized values of force constants are calculated for models involving two or three adjustable parameters. The validity of the model is demonstrated by the satisfactory agreement between calculated and observed frequencies of isotopic species. The model provides a simple explanation of the near degeneracy of the symmetric and asymmetric stretching frequencies of H2S and H2Se.

Electronic excitation of Hg and the HgBr radical has been observed in the present studies during collisions of HgBr2with Kr+ions at different laboratory kinetic energies. Emission cross-sections for excitation of the most intense band of the HgBr(B2Σ+, V′ = O → X2Σ+, V″ = 22) transition at 502 nm have been measured in the kinetic energy range of 1C0–1000 eV.

摘要:
Mercury together with the microimpurities in it had been turned into iodides in advance in a vacuum ampule in the presence of collector - spectrally pure carbon powder, containing 2 per cent Li (as Li2CO3). The obtained mercury (II) iodide was separated from the microimpurities by sublimation at 100°C and the collector with the microimpurities was subjected to spectral analysis. The method allows the determination of 20 elements in mercury within detection limits of 10−5to 10−7% and relative standard deviation 0.08 to 0.25. The method can be applied for the analysis of mercury (II) iodide, too.

摘要:
The generalized Stokes-Einstein equation, which predicts a linear dependence of the diffusion coefficient upon concentration for dilute solutions, has been investigated for highly concentrated solutions by photon correlation spectroscopy. The globular protein ovalbumin was found to exhibit a well-localized peak in its mutual diffusion coefficient at a concentration of ≈ 100 mg/ml, superimposed on a general linear trend to smaller values with incresing concentration. The appearance of the peak can be explained in a semi-quantitative manner by the Debye-Huckel theory for macro-ionic interactions.

摘要:
The infrared spectrum of 3,4-dibromothiophene has been studied from 4000 to 200 cm−1. The Laser Raman spectrum has also been recorded and depolarization values have been measured. An assignment of the 21 fundamental vibrations is proposed based on group frequency correlations, Raman polarization data and comparison with the spectra of parent and some halogeno-substituted molecules.
