摘要:
Resonance Raman (RR) spectra of Mg-Etioporphyrin I (Mg-Etio I) and its stable isotopically substituted derivatives /(14/15)N (24/26)Mg-/ in solution in 1,2-dichloroethane and in solid state in KIBr have been obtained. New spectroscopic information (isotope effect; triple correlation between vibrational RR shifts, loss of JL* conjugation and porphyrin core contraction; anomalous polarization; …) forms a basis for the discussion on the assignment of the vibration modes and the determination of the structure of metalloporphyrins and their analogues.

摘要:
A PMR method for the quantitative determination of khellin in bulk drug, tablets and injectables is presented. The determination is based on the integration of the 5-and 8-methoxyprotons of khellin relative to that of the methylprotons of acetanilide. The method is rapid, accurate and precise, with standard deviations of ± 0.76% in synthetic mixtures and ± 0.94% in tablets and injectables respectively. It furnishes a specific means of identification of khellin as well of the simultaneous detection and determination of the less potent 8-demethoxy analoge, visnagin.

摘要:
A complete analysis of the proton magnetic resonance spectra of quinoline1and isoquinoline2,3allowed to obtain signs and accurate magnitudes of the1H-1H inter-ring coupling constants (HIRC). Since corresponding19F-19F inter-ring coupling constants (FIRC) in perfluoro-quinoline4and -isoquinoline5are available it was worthwhile to consider whether a correlation could be established between HIRC and FIRC. A correlation of this kind would be of obvious interest to a better understanding of the transmission mechanism of long-range19F-19F couplings.

摘要:
It is well known that the carboxylic acids form dimeric species in dilute solution likewise as 2-pyrrolidinone, a cis lactam, with as a consequence for the latter that two bands due to CO absorption are observed in solid state, the first at 1680 cm−1in infrared, the second at 1653 cm−1in Raman (1, 2). Checking the CO frequencies of the imidazolidinetrione, we observed also the no-coincidence of the frequencies in infrared and in Raman (3). This fact which was also pointed out by ALEMAGNA and LORENZELLI (4) was attributed to experimental errors. It is interesting to examine which is in CO region the spectral behaviour of imides (structure I) which are forming dimeric species in solid state (structure II) (5, 6).

A complete normal coordinate analysis has been performed for the tricyanomethanide ion C(CN)−3for which a planar structure of symmetry D3hwas assumed. The symmetric Fand internal f valence force constant matrices were derived in the general case by using a GVFF and the results are applied to C(CN)−3.
