摘要:
The axis of the vesselwith the two-component liquid in the oritical point of stratification is oriented along the d rection of trial mass in the field of gravitational wave. Suppose that vessel sides are less than the wave length and the rate of equilibrium establishment in such system greater than the rate of the gravitational field of the wave in the place of solution arrangement. Mark the coordinate of the liquid stratification boundary in the constant gravitational field parallel toas ℓo.

摘要:
Cyclooctatetraene C8H8, although a very reactive compound, is remarkably resistant to gamma irradiation1. Liquid phase radiolysis at high dose1,2, 30–50 Mrad, yields hydrogen, acetylene, benzene and some polymeric material. Such radiation resistance is rather surprising since gaseous C8H8readily undergoes photoisomerisation to styrene and photodecomposition to give benzene and acetylene3,4. More recent photochemical studies at lower temperatures also report bicyclo-4.2. O-octa-2,4,7-triene5and semibullvalene6as reaction products.

摘要:
Porphyrin manganese complexes are of interest, both from their possible involvement in oxygen formation in photosynthesis and as analogues to the biologically important iron porphyrin complexes. Recent studies by Bocher(1–3) have indicated that porphyrin manganese III complexes exhibit a unique absorption spectrum indicative of an unusual electronic structure. Their spectra are considerably more complex than other metalloporphyrins, e.g., heme proteins, which typically exhibit visible absorption spectra containing two prominent bands (α,β) in the 16 to 20-kK region and a third, more intense band, the Soret band, at 23 to 25 kK.

摘要:
Experiments alleged to confirm the absolute speed of light by Sadeh, Fillipas and Fox, and those done at CERN on the emission of gamma rays by high speed particles are shown to be inconclusive. These experiments have been interpreted quantitatively on the basis of an “extinction” hypothesis formulated by J. G. Fox for which there is no experimental confirmation or denial. Rather than confirming the absolute speed of light, these null result experiments can also be regarded as merely showing the obliteration of the relative speed of light as it propagates through various media.
