摘要:
The paper presents measurements of the luminiscence spectra following the vibrational multiphoton excitation of triplet molecules, and the dependence of both the intensity and decay rates of CO2laser-induced delayed fluorescence on the excitation energy and vapor pressure. The data obtained are used for estimation of intermolecular vibrational relaxation rates in the triplet state, the rates of intersystem crossing T1→S0under various levels of vibrational excitation, the average number of absorbed photons per molecules ηand the cross section of vibrational quanta σ in the triplet state quasicontinuum.

摘要:
The reduction of tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) to its anion radicals on glassy carbon has been studied usingin situFTIR spectroscopy. In contrast to its adsorption behavior on a platinum electrode, TCNE was found to adsorb on a carbon surface not only as the dianion but also as the tricyanovinyl alcoholate (TVA) ion. A mechanism for the formation of the TVA ion involving the presence of surface functional groups on the carbon electrode is proposed.

Detection limits of between 3 and 72 ng mL−1(barium, calcium, sodium, vanadium and iron) and linear dynamic ranges of just over four orders of magnitude (barium and calcium) are reported for laser excited atomic fluorescence spectrometry (LEAFS) in the three electrode direct current plasma. The detection limits are not as good as those that have been reported for LEAFS in both the inductively coupled plasma and flames. The limiting factors appear to be the high plasma background, scatter off sample droplets and the inefficiency of the sample introduction process.

摘要:
We describe the construction of a simple but versatile single-beam spectrophotometer that uses no sample holder at all; one arm of a bifurcated fiber optic bundle illuminates the specimen, while the other receives the remitted light. Though designed with an eye to recording the diffuse reflection spectra of scattering-and-absorbing substances, it can also be used for conventional studies (ie transmission spectroscopy) by merely placing a plane mirror behind the cuvette. The performance of the instrument is evaluated and representative spectra of several powders, solutions, and biomaterials are presented.

摘要:
The stretching vibrations of water are perfect characteristics of the hydrogen bond. Studying their frequency shift, changes of intensities, broadening of the bands and appearence of submaxima we can receive very important structural information about the groups involved in H-bonding and about the bond itself. The observed Raman spectra, however, are rather complicated because the OH and OD stretching bands are always superpositions of several bands due to intra- and intermolecular coupling, effect of Fermi resonance etc. The

摘要:
Argon and mixtures of argon with CH4, C2H2and N2have been excited in a 27.2 MHz radio frequency discharge at pressures of 10 and 5 Torr. Plasma spectra have been recorded and analyzed. The excitation temperatures of Ar I and H, the C2and CN vibrational temperatures and the N2and CN rotational temperatures have been determined and discussed.
