摘要:
A new scheme of CARS in I2, when the intermediate states for the pump frequency are discrete levels, but the final states of the anti-Stokes signal belong to the continuum, is proposed. Several CARS resonances at room temperature, in the sixth and seventh overtone bands are recorded and identified in terms of Q and S branches. Main advantages of the techniques, which is useful for assignments of the molecular lines or for simpler detection of the interacting waves, are demonstrated.

摘要:
A recently reported NMR method for the measurement of deuterium equilibrium isotope effects is applied to the hydration of the paramagnetic cobalt(II) ion. An isotope effect of about 1.3% is measured. A substantial difference between the intrinsic shift of H2O and D2O when coordinated to cobalt is also measured.

摘要:
The Fourier transform infrared photoacoustic spectra (FT-IR/PAS) of wool, shrink-resist treated wool and corona discharge oxidized wool are reported. Products of the oxidation of wool by dichloroisocyanuric acid are discussed. The FT-IR/PAS results indicate the formation of a sulphinic acid residue during the wool treatment.

摘要:
Infrared and Raman spectra were measured for28Si- and29Si -substituted α-cristobalite. The spectra were analyzed by normal coordinate analysis using a modified valence force field. The resulting force constants were consistent with those calculated for related SiO2-containing phases.

摘要:
A compact supersonic jet fluorometer using a xenon arc lamp has been applied as the detection system for evolved gas analysis (EGA). The fluorescence intensities of anthracene, 9-methylanthracene, 9,10-dimethylanthracene, and their mixture were detected as a function of the vaporization temperature. The limit of detection was of the order of 10 μg for each compound. Selective detection of anthracene and 9-methylanthracene in the mixture of three compounds was possible.

摘要:
The existence of C-H…O hydrogen bonds in the solid state has been postulated mainly because of crystallographic criteria1–6. Therefore three organic molecular crystals with very short C-H…O contacts have been selected and studied with infrared and Raman methods. A crystallographic and spectroscopic comparison with parent molecules has been carried out in order to identify the vibrations of the C-H…O hydrogen bond in the μ(C-H) region and to show possible effects caused by these interactions. The results neither prove nor exclude the existence of C-H…O hydrogen bonds.
