摘要:
The azido/tetrazole equilibrium has been widely examined1,2,3but most of the studies concern the solid state and the solution. The publications dealing with the vapour phase are rare and contain only qualitative information obtained either by IR or MS. However, it is clearly established that the azido form is stabilized at high temperatures. In the particular case of 2-azidopyridine I, according to1H NMR and IR data, the equilibrium lies strongly on the side of the tetrazole II in solution.3,4In the vapour phase at high temperature, mass spectrometry,5IR,6and the nature of compounds obtained by gas phase pyrolysis7,8of tetrazolo [1,5-α]pyridines, shown that the azide form is favoured in those conditions.

摘要:
Satisfactory correlations were found of the frequencies of the title band (νCO) with 6+and other substituent constants. The correlations proved valid for benzophenones with both neutral and anionic substituents (more than 100 compounds). The integrated intensities of the νCObands (A1/2CO) did not correlate with any type of substituent constants; the decrease in ACOin the cases of benzophenones with strong electron-releasing substituents was ascribed to a resonance-induced intensity borrowing from νCOBY THE aromatic skeletal bands (8-type). This statement wa confirmed by IR data few deuterated benzophenones.

摘要:
Bile acids are important in the diagnosis of certain diseases. Their mass spectra are usually obtained by electron impact or chemical ionization and are dominated by fragment ions. We have investigated laser desorption (LD) as an ionization method for these compounds. The LD mass spectra contain abundant positive and negative quasimolecular ions. Bile acid salts can be successfully analyzed. In addition, the results help to elucidate details of the LD process.

摘要:
Potassium-39 NMR study of K+ion in molten KSCN and some molten salt mixtures show that the resonance frequency is highly dependent on the nature of the counterion and the technique can be used for studying small changes in the environment of the potassium ion in liquid salts and salt mixtures.

摘要:
The diethyldithiocarbamate chelates of copper (II), lead (II) and tin (IV) have been prepared and characterized. Pure or nearly pure metal diethyldithiocarbamate (DEDTC) chelates could be prepared through recrystallization. The x-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS) for the recrystallized samples were obtained. Three different carbons (C Is) in the diethyldithiocarbamate molecule can be recognized through a computer deconvolution system. Sulfer 2p showed two peaks of spin doublet S 2p1/2and S 2p3/2. Based on the XPS results we may conclude that the diethyldithiocarbamate ligand forms an unusual 4-membered chelate ring structure with the metal ion, both sulfur having bonding with the metal. The N in the DEDTC may also bind with the metal.
