The vibrational mean amplitudes for bonded as well as for nonbonded distances have been evaluated for AsP3, SbP3, and PAs3at temperatures : T = 0oK, T = 298.15oK and T=500oK using recent vibrational data. The results have been briefly discussed.

The spectroscopy of porphyrins has been developing rapidly during the last two decades, this class of compounds being of great biological importance and possessing a number of significant properties. Different spectroscopic techniques, viz., electronic spectroscopy including fine-structure quasiline spectra (Shpolsky effect), infrared spectroscopy, luminescence, flash photolysis, ESR and NMR spectroscopy etc., have been applied to the study of these molecules (see reference1for a review). However until recently there were no publications on Raman spectra of porphyrins and related compounds although it is evident that a complete analysis of molecular vibrations is impossible without knowing the Raman frequencies, especially for centrosymmetrical molecules. We have obtained Raman spectra of two porphin derivatives, viz., copper and nickel octamethylporphin2which seems to be, together with data on hemoglobin and cytochrome3-5and on chlorophylls6, the first observation of Raman spectra of porphyrins. In this paper Raman spectra of several metalloporphyrins are presented including metal complexes of porphin, octamethylporphin, etioporphyrin I, meso-tetraphenylporphin and tetrabenzporphin. For some of them Shpolsky spectra have been obtained and a juxtaposition is made of the two kinds of spectral data concerning the frequencies of molecular no- modss. Also some data of infrared spectra are presented.

摘要:
Experimental potential energy curves have been constructed for the molecule Cu65Cl35by the Rydberg-Klein-Rees-Vanderslice method. Perturbations in the B'πstate have been predicted due to the C'πstate and large interactions have been observed in the D'π state which have been discussed. The dissociation energy for the Cu65Cl35molecule has been estimated (2.5ev) by a relation derived from Lippincott three parameter potential function.

摘要:
Variable temperature studies of the laser Raman spectrum of solid orthocarborane indicate a change in the line widths of the peaks in the observed frequency region from 745 cm−1to 815 cm−1. A marked change in the line width of the 807 cm−1peak around 4°C confirms recently observed anomalies in the NMR spectrum at this temperature.

摘要:
The modified orbital valence force field (MOVFF) has been employed to compute the force constants for FeF63-, GaF63-, InCl63-, SbCl6−and M6+O6(M = Mo, W and Te). The general valence force constants and mean amplitudes of vibration have also been calculated for M6+O6(M = Mo, W and Te) at temperatures: T = O°K, T = 298.16°K and T = 500°K. The results have been briefly discussed.

Laser induced infrared fluorescence1,2is potentially a method for the remote detection of atmospheric pollutants.3,4An important parameter in the evaluation of this technique is the relationship between fluorescence intensity and the variation of the angle between the stimulating laser beam and the viewing direction of the detection system. It is important for monitoring procedures that the fluorescence be isotropic, otherwise the quantitative interpretation of the data becomes very complicated.

摘要:
In a previous work, the far-infrared spectra of pyridines were investigated and the hydrogen bonding stretching frequencies of their complexes with phenol were correlated with the electronic properties of the ring substituents (1). These studies have been now extended to substituted quinolines in order to establish to what degree the results on pyridines are applicable to fused ring systems. Little has been performed on quinolines in the far-infrared until now: only for the unsubstituted term results of a vibrational analysis have been recently reported (2).
