摘要:
A W. wire coil probe made from 0.33 mm thick wire formed by winding the W wire around a 0.9 mm wire is used to Introduce samples into a preheated furnace. Using this device interference from up to 0.4% MgC12is effectively eliminated. Detailed procedures are given for the analysis of Pb in blood and melted snow. Re suits obtained for Pb in blood range from 93 to 106% of the accepted values. Recoveries of Pb spikes from melted snow samples are from 90 to 100%. Each coil may be used for up to 200 firings.

Atomic absorption using furnace atomization suffers from three major problems. First, the matrix causes a change in absorption signal, second, the decomposition products cause a very high, variable background, and third, volatile elements are often lost during the evaporation and ashing steps. These problems are significantly reduced using the double stage system described below.

摘要:
It has been assumed that the structure of binary solution may change depending on the molar ratio of solute to solvent and refer to the presence of some critical concentration where solute-solvent interactions change. Spectroscopic investigation on aqueous solutions of propylene carbonate and alkali halides have really shown presence of critical concentrations. Furthermore, the latter critical concentration of aqueous alkali halide solutions has revealed concern with the reactivity of iodide ions which have been added to the solutions. The latter finding will be the first observation of the concern between structure and reactivity of aqueous solutions.
