摘要:
During the past several years compounds containing P-N bonds have been the object of a number of investigations,2many of them motivated by the conjecture that pπ-dπ bonds can form between these two atoms. Recently the behavior of the halophosphonitriles,3–6whose bonding is thought to involve extensive pπ-dπ delocalization,7and the aminohalo-phosphines,8which contain only a single P-N fragment, toward electron bombardment has been described. Since the framework over which π bonding can occur in the hydrazino- and hydroxylaminohalophosphines9is intermediate between these other two classes of compounds we would like to report comparable studies for these latter compounds.

摘要:
The normal coordinate analysis of XY6type of anions and molecules employing different force fields is well established.1,2Recently, the vibrational spectra and complete frequency assignment of MnF6−2has been reported by Flint.3Using the available vibrational data the force constants have been evaluated employing three potential models viz. general valence force field (GVFF), Urey-Bradley force field (UBFF) and orbital valence force field (OVFF). The mean amplitudes of vibration and Bastiansen-Morino shrinkages have also been computed at two temperatures.

摘要:
In continuation of our studies on the complexes of lanthanide(III) ions with N-donor ligands1,2, especially those of 1,10-phenanthroline (phen)3,4, we wish to report the proton N.M.R. spectra of several lanthanide(III) complexes of phen in aqueous (D2O) solution at 330 K. Table 1 contains the observed chemical shifts of the four types of protons in phen relative to the methyl resonance of the internal standard 2-methyl-2-propanol. For comparison, the spectrum of an authentic sample of Nd(phen)2Cl3.2H2O complex prepared by the method of Sinha5was recorded and the spectrum found to be virtually indistinguishable from that obtained by mixing the individual components in the proper ratio.

摘要:
It has recently been shown that the 2,2,6,6-tetra-methylheptane-3,5-dione (tmhd) complexes of a number of lanthanide ions possess the useful property of inducing large chemical shifts in the proton NMR spectra of certain compounds containing OH or other nucleophilic groups1–8. The resulting spectra are frequently more readily assignable and analysable. Although europium and praseodymium appear to be the most suitable ions for such studies, the shifting effect is also observed with other lanthanide ions.5,6
