摘要:
The laser microprobe mass analyzer (LAMMA) is a recently developed mass spectroscopic technique for both organic and inorganic microanalysis. LAMMA analysis involves laser ionization of the sample material followed by mass separation in a time of flight (TOF) mass spectrometer. The present application of LAMMA illustrates the characterization of three inorganic perrhenates: NH4ReO4, AgReO4and Al(ReO4)3. Results clearly show the value of LAMMA for inorganic mass spectrometry, in this study the most useful data originated in the negative-ion mass spectra.

It has become increasingly evident to scientists attempting to determine the biological or environmental impact of pollution from metal compounds, that data expressing only the total concentration of a metal would not reveal the potential toxic effects of the metal. The chemical form of the metal must be determined in order to give a true estimation of possible effects resulting from exposure to the metal.

摘要:
The fluorescence of anthracene vapors and its derivatives initiated by triplet-triplet excitation is observed. The quantum yield of inverce intersystem crossing of anthracene molecules is estimated (10−2). The fluorescence initiated by triplet excitation is quenched by foreign pentane gas, thus permitting an estimation of the lifetime of highly excited triplet molecules.

摘要:
The13C NMR spectrum of the title substance and the1H NMR spectrum of its silylated derivative are reported and discussed. ASIS analysis of the1H NMR spectrum points to 4, 2′, 6′-trihydroxy-4′-methoxy-3′-methyldihydrochalcone as the correct structure.

摘要:
A commercially available hollow cathode emission source is modified in order to improve its applicability. Its main advantages consist in the practical prevention of short circuits, variable distances between cathode and anode, and the possibility of visual observation of the discharge. The lamp was satisfactorily tested with aluminium, copper and graphite cathodes.

摘要:
The determination of Ga contained in biological materials was carried out by a spectrographic method based on the hollow cathode discharge. Tumoral tissues of rats affected by Morris Hepatoma were treated with boiling HNO3. The resulting solutions were diluted and aliquots thereof directly introduced into the cavity of steel electrodes. After calcination, the cathodes were discharged at 400 mA for 4 min using A at 55) Pa as the carrier gas. The technique was found to be simple, reliable and sensitive. Analytical results agree very well with those obtained by AAS and arc OES.
