摘要:
Cesium dichromate forms triclinic crystals which are apparently isomorphous with potassium dichromate.1The only published x-ray study of this compound consists of powder pattern results2, and no determination of the space group has been presented. The only possible space groups for triclinic cesium dichromate are P1-C11and P1-C11, which are distinguished by the presence and absence of inversion symmetry, respectively. Since inversion symmetry precludes coincidence between the infrared and Raman spectra, vibrational spectroscopy may be applied to the determination of the space group. This approach has been used recently to verify the space group of potassium dichromate.3The present note presents the infrared and Raman spectra of crystalline cesium dichromate and our conclusions as to the space group.

摘要:
The present work cites the investigation results of local magnetic fields on1H and19F nuclei and spin ordering in β-FeF3·3H2O. In the structure of this compound (space group P42/n, a=7.846 Å, c=7.754 Å, z=41,2) Fe atoms are bonded via bridged F atoms (1) in infinite chains along the /001/ axis. With such positioning, in which two paramagnetic atoms are separated by a diamagnetic atom (F, O, C1 and others) there is a possibility for indirect (superexchange) interaction. Linear chains … Fe - F - Fe - F - Fe - F … are separated from each other by F(2) atoms and water molecules H2O (1) and H2O (2), so that exchange between neighboring Fe atoms from various chains is ostensibly much encumbered.

摘要:
A comprehensive solvent, concentration, and temperature study has been made of the 850 to 400 cm−1region of the infrared spectrum of cyclohexyl iodide. This causes us to reject the assignment of Larnaudie and of Chiurdoglu and Reisse ofv(C-I)eqat 654 cm−1andv(C-I)axat 638 cm−1, and to suggest that the two modes are almost coincident in n-hexane solution at 656.2 cm−1(eq) and 655.6 cm−1(ax).
