摘要:
A rich assemblage of early Middle Cambrian brachiopods from the ‘first discovery limestone’ of the Coonigan Formation, western N.S.W. contains 20 taxa (eight Articulata, 11 Inarticulata and one which cannot be assigned with certainty to either class). New articulate species areNisusia grandis grandis, N. grandis glabra, Wimanella tricavata, Arctohedra alata, Acareorthis jelli, Cymbricia spinicostata, Austrohedra mimicaandGlaphyrorthis fastigata, with the last four mentioned new genera. Inarticulate taxa include species ofTrematosiaand?Kutorgina, Hadrotreta primaeva(Walcott),Micromitra nerranubawuKruse and new species ofKleithriatreta lamellosa, Eothele granulata, Dictyonina australis, Palaeoschmidites horizontalis, Lingulella bynguanoensis, Westonia cymbricensis, and an indeterminate lingulacean;Kleithriatretais a new genus. The enigmatic new genus and speciesBynguanoia perplexacannot be placed within either the Articulata or Inarticulata.

摘要:
Fossil plants, crustaceans (Conchostraca and ?Amphipoda) and insects (Blattodea indet. and the cercopid hemipteranProcercopina thailandicasp. nov.) from lacustrine sediments of probable Middle Jurassic age from the Phra Wihan Formation in northern Thailand are reported.

摘要:
The types and other specimens ofAgnostus fallaxLinnarsson 1869 are examined and reinterpreted. It is shown that the application of this specific name to many specimens from around the world is largely in error. The species is considered sufficiently different from the type species ofPeronopsis, P. integra(Beyrich, 1845) to warrant erection of a new genusAxagnostus with A. fallaxas the type species.

摘要:
A stem of the lycopodCyclodendron leslii(Seward) Kräusel 1928 was found in a mudstone unit in the Reids Dome beds, cored in Queensland Department of Mines borehole Denison NS 175. Other bedding plane partings of the mudstone revealed numerous lycopod leaf and sporophyll fragments. Some of the latter contained compressed sporangia which variously yielded abundant megaspores ofSrivastavaesporites subconatussp. nov. and microspores ofIndotriradites enormis(Segroves) Foster 1979. The palynomorphs have been previously assigned tentative lycopod affinities on the basis of spore morphology. A biological association is suggested.
