摘要:
Urate is reabsorbed throughout the accessible proximal tubule and, in nondiuretic animals, between the proximal and distal tubules. Proximal absorption of urate is diminished by volume expansion but not osmotic diuresis. The high performance liquid chromatographic method is satisfactory for estimation of urate in tubular samples.

摘要:
A method for the chronic collection of urine from the unanesthetized rabbit is described. A midventral incision is made in the abdomen of an anesthetized rabbit, the urinary bladder exposed, and the end of a Malecot bladder catheter is inserted through a hole made in the bladder and is sewn in place. The free end of the catheter is run subcutaneously over the musculature of the back and neck and externalized inside the external pinna and then capped. To collect urine, the rabbit is placed in a standard rabbit stock, the catheter’s cap removed, a piece of tubing is connected to the exposed end of the catheter and a siphon formed. This permits the continuous collection of urine over several hour
