AbstractBis‐(4‐vinylphenyl) ether (BVPhE) was obtained by the polycondensation of bis‐[4‐(1‐hydroxyethyl)phenyl] ether and subsequent dehydration of the resulting polyether. AbstractIR spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry were used to establish that by prolonged heating of methacrylic ester of 4‐vinyl‐4′‐(1‐hydroxyethyl)diphenyloxide at 140 to 170°C a highly crosslinked polymer is formed. Its transverse ester bridges are broken at 170 to 190°C with the formation of methacrylic acid units and vinyl side groups. AbstractUnter Verwendung von 8 DGEBA‐Anilin‐Additionspolymeren mit breiten GPC‐Elutionskurven undM̄n‐Werten zwischen 1000 und 20 000 wurde die EichkurveMi=M(VEi) bestimmt.
