AbstractThe mechanism of the emulsion copolymerization of acrylonitrile and butyl acrylate at 70°C initiated by water‐soluble ammonium persulfate has been investigated. Data of fractional conversion of the comonomers, fractional copolymerization rate, instantaneous and cumulative composition of the copolymer and instantaneous monomer feed composition as a function of the reaction time or conversion are presented. Good agreement was found between the experimentally measured compositions and those calculated according to the integrated form of the MAYO‐LEWIScopolymer composition equation using published values for the copolymerization reactivity ratios. AbstractThe possibility of producing polyethers with pendant oxetane groups from 3,3′‐bis(chloromethyl)oxacyclobutane and bisphenol‐A was investigated. Reactions were carried out at high temperature in presence of K2CO3in N,N‐dimethyl acetamide solution or by using phase transfer catalysis under various experimental conditions. AbstractCopolymere aus Vinylchlorid und Vinylidenchlorid (40 und 60 Mol‐%) wurden mittels13C‐NMR bei 22,635 MHz untersucht. AbstractThe phenomenological interpretation of shear curves is refined by application of the fluctuation dissipation theorem and the WIENER‐KHINTCHINtheorem. AbstractDie Sättigungsquellung von n‐Alkanen in Polyethylenen unterschiedlicher Dichte wurde unter Variation der thermischen Vorbehandlung untersucht. Durch die Quellmittelaufnahme bis zu Temperaturen von 55°C und nachfolgende vollständige Entfernung des Quellmittels werden die mittleren Sphärolithgrößen und die Lamellendickenverteilung nicht verändert. Die nachgewiesenen Eigenschaftsvariationen werden Veränderungen im Verhängungszustand der Moleküle der amorphen Bereiche in Richtung einer Vergrößerung der effektiv wirkenden Netzkettenlängen
