摘要:
AbstractChemotaxonomic investigations of leaf flavonoids by paper chromatography have shown that the cultigenVicia fabais very distinct from the wild speciesV. hyaeniscyamus, V. johannis, V. serratifolia, V. narbonensis, V. galilaeaandV. bithynica: the progenitor ofV. fabaremains unknown. No significant differences in chromatographic profiles were found between ten accessions ofVicia faba, which ranged from primitive land‐races to advanced cultivars, but there were highly significant differences between growth chamber and field grown plant

摘要:
AbstractStructure and organographic distribution of trichomes in ten species ofHibiscushave been described. The trichomes are either unicellular or multicellular. All the trichomes are differentiated into a foot and a body. Uniseriate filiform clavate and pyriform hair types possess a body which is further differentiated into a stalk and a head. A total of fifteen trichome types are recognised in the taxon and they are classified into four trichome categories. In a species, the number of trichome types ranges between seven(H. lobatus)and thirteen (H. syriacusandH. vitifolius). Of these, unicellular uncinate hair is exclusive toH. lobatus, thus being diagnostic in its identification. Further, flagellate trichome types are recognised for the first time inHibiscus. Their exclusive presence at the sepal adaxial distal margins help in protecting the young flowers in bud condition.

摘要:
AbstractThe presence of phenotypic plasticity may produce remarkable influences on the efficiency of usage of diagnostical characteristics and on the reality of hierarchical arrangements. In this paper the emphasis is on needfulness of lessening of taxonomic importance for some characteristics (plant height, number of leaflets, leaflet length, leaflet width) and enlargement of some other characteristics (number of leaflets incision, hairiness of upper leaflets side, lower leaflets side and hairiness of stalk) on the basis of displayed phenotypic plasticity caused through exposure of experimental groups to sun or shade.

摘要:
AbstractChenopodium borbasiiJ. Murr, Progr. Ober‐Realsch. Innsbruck, p. 56, 1891 (synonymy:Chenopodium borbasioidesA. Ludwig et Aellen in Hegi,Chenopodium subcuneatumJ. Murr ex Ascherson et Graebner,Chenopodium zobeliiA. Ludwig ex Ascherson et Graebner) has 3‐lobed blades of the leaves. The length of the blade of the lateral lobes is equal to the length of the blade of the terminal lobe. The terminal lobe has, as a rule, on each side (in the 2nd third of the length of the blade) a conspicuous tooth. They are diagnostic characters of the seriesOpulifoliaD., under which I subsumeChenopodium borbasiiJ. 摘要:
AbstractA revision of some critical questions of taxonomy of central‐ and south‐asian genera of the UmbelliferaeVicatia, Sinodielsia, andTongoloahave been carried out. The identity of centralasiaticCarum atrosanguineumwithV. wolffianabut not withV. coniifoliahave been indicated and, as a result, a new combination —V. atrosanguinea— have been proposed. A new species of this genus —V. nepalensis— was described from Nepal. Using cluster analysis and principal coordinate analysis and basing on the distribution of the states of 13 characters in known species the relationships betweenVicatia, TongoloaandSinodielsiahave been investigated and the limits of the three genera were elucidated. Three new combinations within generaSinodielsiaandTongoloahave been proposed. A key identification of the above mentioned genera have be

摘要:
AbstractStomatal types of 65 species representing 32 genera of the subtribe Foeniculinae have been investigated, the material origined from the territory of the USSR and some other regions of Asia and Europe. Anomocytic, hemiparacytic, diacytic, paracytic and anisocytic types have been registered. Predominant types in many genera were anomocytic or anomocytic along with hemiparacytic, rarely a mixture of hemiparacytic and anisocytic; some genera had significant number (sometimes predominance) of diacytic and paracytic types. The generaKadeniaandMacrosciadiumwere found to be extremely variable as concerns stomatal types.

摘要:
AbstractThe floral anatomy of six species ofImpatienshas been studied. The hypogynous, tetracyclic, zygomorphic flowers are basically pentamerous. The posterior sepal bears a nectariferous spur. The stamens are connate by the filaments below the anthers which stand as a cap over the stigmas. The 5‐carpellary, syncarpous ovary is 5‐locular with many ovules in each loculus. The sepals, petals and stamens are single traced. Anatomy shows that the anterior perianth part is the product of adnation between the anterolateral sepals and anterior petal. The carpels are 3‐traced and the ovular supply is derived from the central core of vascular tissue in the placental region. The study supports the placement of Balsaminaceae in the order Geran

摘要:
AbstractFruit ofNeriumis an aggregate of two follicles, developing from a bicarpellary sub‐apocarpous pistil with numerous ovules on marginal placenta. Both the carpels are close to each other by their ventral sides from base to tip as a result of a post‐genital carpel fusion. Ovary wall is homogenous parenchymatous differentiated into outer epidermis, mesodermis and inner epidermis. Epicarp developing from the outer epidermis, is single layered in the early stages of development, but later it becomes multilayered towards maturity. Epicarp is highly folded, possessing stomata and hairs on its surface. Mesocarp is parenchymatous embedding, laticifers and vascular bundles with sclerefied bundle caps. Endocarp is multilayered and sclerenchymatous possessing druse crystals. Separation of the two ventrally fused follicles initiates first and afterwards each follicle dehisces marginicidally. Seeds are oval, cylindrical and covered all over the surface with small brown hairs, but long hairs are also present at one
