摘要:

摘要:
AbstractAgeratum conyzoidesL., andA. houstonianumMill., are two exotic weeds completely naturalized in Indian subcontinent invading even the Himalaya. Both are easily confused for each other in herbaria as well as in the field. Reliable morphological characters to distinguish these two closely resembling taxa have been identified and illustrated to facilitate unmistaken determination. Also some observations have been made to Sahu's treatment of these two species with a caution to apply the numerical data to change the taxonomic status of any well established taxon, and instead to utilize the numerical methods in the analysis of evolutionary phenomena.

摘要:
AbstractThe gross morphology, seed morphology and palynology of the four species ofPortulacain Nigeria have been studied. The colour and number of the corolla, stomatal types and seed coat morphology are of taxonomic importance. The mitotic chromosomes of two species,P. oleracea(2n = 54) andP. grandiflora(2n = 18) are described. A key to the species is provided.

摘要:
AbstractTwentysix members belonging to the tribe Phaseolae (Fabaceae) have been analysed for their leaf flavanoids, phenolic acids, alkaloids and saponins. It is found, that all the subtribes within, possessed district assortment of chemical characters and therefore their elevation to tribes ist supported.ClitoriaandButea, being chemical dissimilar to other members of the Glycineae and Erythrineae, find a proper place in Euphaseoleae (Tribe Phaseoleae of Hutchinson) and Galactieae respectively. The varietel status ofTeramnus labialisvar.mollisist upheld and the status of a separate species is recommended forRhynchosia minimavar.laxifloraBak.

摘要:
AbstractA survey of the leaf epidermises of five of the seven species of the family Medusandraceae which is endemic to West Africa, and economically important is presented. The results obtained show that only species,Medusandra richardsianaBrenan has pubescent leaf surfaces, while the other four:Soyauxia gabonensisOliver,S. floribundaHutchinson,S. glabrescensEngler andS. vetulinaHutchinson have glabrous leaf surfaces. Also,Medusandra richardsianaandSoyauxia floribundahave anomocytic subsidiary cells surrounding their stomata, whileSoyauxia gabonensis, S. glabrescensandS. vetulinahave paracytic subsidiary cells surrounding their stomata.

摘要:
AbstractThere is presented a treatment on the northernmost taxon of the genusRomuleaMaratti, showing the necessary of its nomenclature asRomulea armoricanaJordan separated fromRomulea columnaeSebastiani et Mauri. Furtheron, more detailed investigated are the both related taxaRomulea syrticaJordan et Fourreau andRomulea rolliiParlatore, resulting in either modern diagnioses either newly compiled distribution maps.
