In this paper we connect the pole structure of the Titchmarsh-Weyl m-coefficients with the spectrum of a Hamiltonian system which is singular at each end of an interval. Characterizations are given for the resolvent set, point spectrum, continuous spectrum and point-continuous spectrum. We allow the system to be of either limit point or limit circle type at each end.

A Kervaire diagram of group homomorphisms and pointed maps arising from a standard homotopy pullback Z of groupoid morphisms with common codomain is studied. The diagram yields two exact Mayer-Vietoris sequences that specialize in various ways. A classification theorem is obtained for the set of components of z. Applications are given to elementary group theory and to homotopy pair theory.

Certain results in connection with boundedness and precompactness, which are valid in topological vector spaces and locally bounded prelimit vector spaces, are extended to the class of strictly *-equable pre-limit vector spaces. This class contains the class of topological vector spaces. Hahn-Banach extension and separation theorems hold in the class of strictly *-equable prelimit vector spaces.

The r-asymptotically quasi finite rank operators were introduced in [10]. For regular operators on Banach lattices, these operators are the order theoretic analogue of Riesz operators on Banach spaces. We establish their basic properties and apply these in the spectral analysis of convolution operators.
