摘要:
182 patients suffering from symptomatic, mostly recurrent bacterial vaginitis were treated with SolcoTrichovac. The patients were mostly in the ‘under 25 years’ age group and almost 50% of them were on oral contraceptives. SolcoTrichovac immunotherapy resulted in a marked normalization of vaginal flora, reappearance of normal lactobacilli (71 %) and a drop in the vaginal pH as well as a significant decrease in subjective and objective clinical signs and symptoms (85 and 93%, respecitive

摘要:
In an open clinical trial 94 women with recurrent bacterial vaginitis were treated with the immunotherapeutic Gynatren/SolcoTrichovac. Vaginal flora was examined before, during and 4 weeks after completion of the vaccination. Significant reduction in the amounts of Escherichia coli, Streptococcus B, Enterococci, Bactewides, Gardnerella vaginalis as well as aberrant lactobacilli was observed. On the other hand Döderlein bacilli, normal residents of the vagina, which were found to be absent in 70 % and reduced in about 30% of the patients prior to the treatment normalized as a result of treatment. The clinical picture showed a statistically significant (p < 0.05) improvement

摘要:
In three different laboratory studies an attempt was made to elucidate the mechanism of action of the immunotherapeutic Gynatren/SolcoTrichovac. The results show that the protective effect of immunization with this vaccine is based on an immunologic cross-reaction between the antigens contained in the vaccine and those of Trichomonas vaginalis. These immune phenomena are more cellular than humoral.

摘要:
Trichomonads were cultured in medium containing serum of patients treated with SolcoTrichovac. Due to the antibodies in this serum the trichomonads showed signs of destruction even after 3 days. In control cultures to which ordinary serum had been added, trichomonads survived for 8–10 days. The killing effect of the SolcoTrichovac-induced antibodies was even stronger than that of metronidazol

摘要:
Two hundred patients suffering from vaginal Trichomonas vaginalis infection were admitted to a double-blind clinical study. All patients provided a detailed history of previous episodes of vaginitis. All women were treated with one dose of nimorazole 2 g stat. In addition, one group of patients were vaccinated with SolcoTrichovac and the other group received a placebo ‘vaccination’. The immediate effect of the nimorazole treatment was comparable in both groups, relapses and reinfections, however, differed significantly after 4 weeks (p < 0.01) in favour of the SolcoTrichovac group. After 4 and 8 months, the effect of the vaccine in preventing reinfections was even more pronounced, with a statistical difference of p < 0.001 between the two groups of patie

摘要:
One hundred patients whose prime complaint was vaginal discharge and/or vaginal odour were admitted to the study if the presence of Trichomonas, Candida, Gonococci or Chlamydia could be ruled out. All but 5 of the women had one or more prior episodes of vaginitis during the previous year. The patients were treated by vaccination with Gynatren/SolcoTrichovac alone. Clinical and bacteriological evaluations were made before treatment and after 1, 2, 4 and 6 months. Of the 77 patients available for final global evaluation 74 were rated as cured.

摘要:
120 patients with ‘non-specific’ bacterial colpitis were vaccinated with the immunotherapeutic Gynatren/SolcoTrichovac. The degree of purity of the vaginal discharge was evaluated before commencing treatment, and after 2, 4 and 8 weeks. Bacterial cultures revealed several different pathogens. Gardnerella vaginalis was present in 105 cases. The treatment resulted in a success rate of 75% and a partial amelioration was obtained in an additional 15 % of patie
