ABSTRACTThis paper describes the results of anisotropy parameters of the E region irregularities over Ahmedabad using a wave frequency of 2·6 Mc/s. Histograms showing the distribution of the different parameters of the anisotropy are presented. Results are compared with those obtained at different stations of the world.

摘要:
ABSTRACTIncidence of avalanche breakdown in semiconductor diodes is accompanied by generation of random noise. This paper reports experimental measurement of such noise as observed in a variety of diodes. Variation in this noise output due to changes in some external parameters is also reported. Results achieved have been analysed and possibilities of optimizing the use of avalanche diodes for random noise generation have been discussed.

摘要:
ABSTRACTResults of the theoretical investigation on the electromagnetic power carrying capacity, within limits of electrical breakdown, of anisotropic, circular, cylindrical dielectric rod waveguide excited in TE01and TM01surface wave modes at 3·2 cm. wavelength are presented. Based on an earlier work1by the author, power flow equations have been formulated for both inside and outside the waveguide. Numerical calculations of the power flow as a function of the diameter (d) and the dielectric constant (ϵ1) of the guide have been completed and the results are shown graphically. Maximum power handling capacity of such guides have also been studied.
