摘要:
ABSTRACTThe derivation of Maxwell's equations commencing with Coulomb's law can be carried out in several ways by extending the work of Page. However, their derivation without assuming any experimental results of electromagnetics like Coulomb's law has not so far been carried out. This communication gives an axiomatic derivation of Maxwell's equations assuming only the conservation of charge, special relativity with the associated structure of space and a relation connecting electric and magnetic field intensities.

摘要:
ABSTRACTIn this paper a crossed field gun with small component of magnetic field normal to the cathode plane in addition to the usual magnetic field is proposed for low noise operation. The small extra component of magnetic field would bring about the reduction of randomness of emission velocity in x-direction and decrease the rate of growth of fluctuations in gun region, thereby reducing the noise in the beam.

ABSTRACTDesign considerations and experimental results of S-band three port stripline circulator are given in detail with particular emphasis to its broad-banding by various methods.Circulator behaviour is investigated by replacing one of the ferrite discs by an identical brass disc. The effects of tuning and mode suppressor screws are also discussed.

摘要:
ABSTRACTExpression for the transmission loss (T.L.) of composite plates in which flexural waves exist in each layer can be given in the same form as that for single panel. In the case of composite plates the surface mass is equal to the summation of the surface masses of the individual layers. The critical frequency of the composite plate may be simply related with the critical frequencies and the masses of the individual layers. The theoretical transmission loss of the composite plate is calculated from this critical frequency and also by the plateau curve method. The theoretical transmission loss agrees well with the experimentally obtained values.Experimental results of five more typical constructions with their sound transmission class (STC) numbers are also presented here.
