摘要:
The stationary thermoelastic problem for an orthotropic semi-infinite strip bonded to an orthotropic infinite strip is investigated. By using Fourier transforms, the heat conduction problem is reduced to a singular integral equation for the temperature gradient. The associated elasticity problem leads to a system of singular integral equations for strain and stress. Numerical solution of these equations yields temperature, temperature gradient, and stress distributions along the interface, caused by prescribed boundary temperatures.

摘要:
A method of solving the problem of thermal stresses for composite cylinders, where the cross section is occupied by different inhomogeneous and anisotropic Cosserat elastic materials is established. The temperature variation is assumed to be a polynomial in the axial coordinate. The method is used to study the deformation of a circular cylinder composite of two different isotropic materials.

摘要:
This paper concerns an axisymmetric dynamic treatment of a three-dimensional thermoelastic problem in a thick plate that is exposed to the temperature of surrounding medium depending on the position and time. In the present investigation, the Laplace transform and the convolution theorem are used, and an exact solution that is valid for the whole time interval without approximation is obtained. The thermal stresses are compared with the corresponding quasi-static stresses and the corresponding one-dimensional stresses.

摘要:
This paper is a treatment of a transient thermoelastic contact problem in a short-length circular cylinder, to which a heated rigid band is bonded. The problem may be reduced to that of solving dual-series equations. The solution meets the boundary conditions on both the lateral surface and the plane ends of the cylinder. The radial, hoop, and axial stresses have singularities at the end of a rigid band on the cylindrical surface.

摘要:
We consider adiabatic shearing flows of Newtonian fluids with temperature-dependent viscosity under periodic boundary conditions for velocity and stress. We show that the flows exist and are well behaved for all time, provided the rate of change of viscosity with temperature and the initial temperature satisfy appropriate bounds. We compare the results with the case of shearing under steady boundary conditions.
