摘要:
One of the most common valves used in water distribution systems is the double‐disk gate valve with a nonrising stem. This valve is classified as a sliding valve and isolates the distribution system for repair, cleaning, or inspection. This article discusses the operation and maintenance of double‐disk gate valves.

摘要:
The well sampler described in this article can be used at varying depths by using interchangeable PVC valves of varying pressure settings. The PVC valves are set to open at a given depth, fill the sampler with 1 and 1/2 gallons (6 L) of water, and then close when removed from the well.
