摘要:
Photochromism is the phenomenon of a reversible, light-induced photochemical process that results in a color change of a chemical species. In the photoacoustic spectroscopic determination of photochromic species, the original spectral interference from weakly or non-photochromic compounds may be ruled out simply by the effect of photochromism in the analyteinduced by a light source. This new technique of separating the absorption characteristics of the analyte and interferences is named photochromic separation. In this report, photochromic separation is applied to the determination of Hg(II) dithizonate in the presence of Ag(I) or Pd(II) dithizonate. By the simple combination of an external light source and a laser photoacoustic spectrometer, the separation and determination of photochromic Hg(II) dithizonate can be performed simultaneously.

摘要:
There are many methods for measuring FT-IR spectra, for example, transmission, diffuse reflection, attenuated total reflection and so on. It is said that the transmission method is the most reliable method for qualitative and quantitative analysis of FT-IR spectra. The spectra of highly scattering samples such as coals or amorphous silicon powders measured by the transmission method, however, have large backgrounds with small relevant absorption peaks. Therefore, we investigated measuring methods for reducing the background itself. As a result, using a highly scattering 1R filter, we could clearly distinguish absorption peaks of amorphous silicon powders that were not found in IR spectrum measured by the normal transmission method. Our highly scattering filter is composed of fine Csl powders(<125*10−6m) and fine KBr powders(<125*10−6m).

摘要:
The synthesis and analytical properties of phthalaldehyde. bisguanylhydrazone (PABGH) are described. The reagent was tested with 34-common cations, at several pH values, but only Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II) gave colored reactions. The Co(II), Cu(II) complexes are formed in ammonia medium and only the Co(II) complex is stable in the presence of cyanide. The Ni(II) complex is formed in sodium hydroxide medium. Using these behaviors the Co(II)-Cu(II)-Ni(II) mixtures can be analyzed by spectrophotometry in the presence of the remaining tested cations.

摘要:
A rapid, simple and specific procedure for the simultaneous assay and determination of enantiomeric purity of pharmaceutical grade 1-epinephrine solution is described. The procedure is faster, more precise and more specific for the levoisomer than the U.S.P. XXI method. It can also be used for 1-epine-phrine inhalation solution and 1-epinephrine injection solution.
