摘要:
Iron (III) was rapidly extracted as its ternary complex with tributyl phosphate and N-phenly1-2-furylacrylohydroxamic acid (PFHA) from weakly acidic (pH 1.0-1.5) solutions into isobutyl methyl ketone and was determined atomic absorption spectrometrically. The method tolerated the presences of a large number of anions and cations commonly associated with iron, and was successfully tested with certified samples of coal fly ash, alloys, and plant tissues. It was also applied to the analysis of animal tissues, natural waters, and wastewaters; validating it by standard addition technique. PFHA was selected from nine new hydroxamic acids.

摘要:
A simple, rapid, reliable method for detection of aflatoxins in food and feeds by Pressure Minicolumn has been developed. The technique employs commonly available glass syringes which are tightly packed with certain adsorbants. The presence of aflatoxins is observed as a compact bluish fluorescent hand under long range UV light. Further, chemical confirmatory tests have also been incorporated in the same and the combination of trifluoroacetic acid-sulphuric acid was found to be the best. The technique has been successfully put to use for detecting contaminated samples of food and feed.

Retention data are presented for homovanillic acid, vanillic acid, phenylacetic acid, benzoic acid, p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid and 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid on reversed phase C18columns with methanolic-acetic acid buffers. These data are fitted to a model and window diagrams are constructed from calculated model parameters. The different window diagrams obtained for the different percentage methanol solvents are shown. The retention data is then fit to a two factor reponse surface model (% methanol and pH).

摘要:
A new preconcentration procedure using inclusion of the metal dithiocarbamate complexes into a thin polystyrene film is developed. The method is applied for determination of Cd,Co,Cu,Fe,Ni,Pb and Zn in high purity KI,LINO3, BaCl2and Y2O3by arc-source AES. The relative standard deviation is 5-12% at concentration range 5.10−5-5.10−6%. The method permits the determination of 2.10−6% Pb and Cd, 5.10−6% Co,Cu,Fe,Ni,Zn.
