摘要:
A method was developed for separation and analysis of corrosion products formed on the surface of Cu-Ni alloys immersed in sea water polluted by sulphide ions. This method is based on the selective dissolution of oxidation compounds by suitable solvents dissolving the metal matrix only to a negligeable extent.

摘要:
An analytical method has been developed for the fluorimetric determination of nanogram amounts of aluminium in solution. The method is based on the reaction of aluminium with B-hydroxyquinoli-ne-5-sulfonic acid in presence of hexadeciltrimethylammonium bromide as a surfactant agent. Synchronous scanned first and second derivative fluorimetry has been employed to increase the sensitivity of the method. The influence of reaction variables as well as instrumental parameters is discussed. The interference of various foreign ions has also been examined and in some cases eliminated or reduced by addition of 1, 10-phenanthroline.

A method has been developed for the determination of iron, tin and lead in fruit juices using inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy. These metals can be determined by direct aspiration of the sample after suitable dilution with water. It is not necessary to treat the sample prior to analysis.

摘要:
A method for the spectrophotometric determination of bismuth is described. The method is based on using polyether polyurethane foam sorbent as a favourable matrix. Sorption of the bismuth iodide complex into the foam thin layer contributed into substantial improvement of the measured absorbance value of the coloured species. In this way quite satisfactory results were achieved, the average recovery amounts to 105.25%.

The inductively coupled plasma in combination with a mass spectrometer (ICP/MS) has been used for the determination of metals in different Saudi Arabian crude oils (Arab Berri, Arab heavy, Arab medium and Arab light). A previously investigated extraction method has been applied in the determination of metals in oil to the sub ppm level.

摘要:
A sensitive fluorimetric method was developed for the determination of trace amount of europium in rare earth oxides. In the presence of gadolinium, the fluorescence of the europium complex with thenoyltrifluoroacetone and 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline was increased by a factor of about 2; the excitation and emission wavelengths were 346 and 613nm, respectively;the fluorescence was linear up to 1.59ng/ml of europium;and the detection limit was found to be 0.6pg/ml of europium. A general mechanism of fluorescence enhancement was proposed.

On the basis of theoretical considerations, a new catalytic reaction for the determination of nanomoler iron(III) concentrations has boon propesod, nomoly the oxidation of sulfanilic acid by potassium periodate using 1,10-phenanthroline as an activator. The optimum conditions for Fe(III) determination have been established as a result of kinetic studies.
