摘要:
A liver tissue based electrochemical sensor for hydrogen peroxide has been realized for determination of peroxidase activity in solution. Its behaviour is based on the oxygen electrode and an enzyme catalase largely present in liver tissue. The competition between the two enzymatic reactions based on catalase and peroxidase results in a probe for peroxidase activity determination in the range 5 · 10−3− 2.5 · 10−1U/mL.

摘要:
Gas chromatography mass spectrometry [GCMS] and liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection [LCEC] have been compared in simultaneous determination of 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-phenylglycol [MHPG] in human cerebrospinal fluid [CSF]. Both free and sulphate conjugated MHPG have been measured in these samples. By Spearman Rank Correlation non-parametric analysis both instrumental techniques related significantly for all quantitated samples.

摘要:
The reaction of ephedrine with carbon disulphide and metals'reagents (nickel, copper and cobalt has been studied. Various methods are accordingly introduced for the determination of ephedrine in pure form and in pharmaceutical formulations. Direct spectrophotometric method determines 0.24-1.21, 0.61-5.45 and 6.05-60.5 μ moles. of epherdrine with a mean accuracy (P'=0.05) of 100.24± 1.48%,99.65±1.68% and 99.73±0.59% using nickel, copper and cobalt respectively. Indirect determinations- through the metals' content- include atomic absorption method, which is suitable for the determination of 0.73-8.5, 1.82-6.66 and 3.63-24.2 μ moles. of ephedrine with a mean accuracy of 99.49±1.18%, 100.13±1.65% and 99.68±0.63% on using nickel, copper and cobalt respectively. The corresponding data on determining the metals by the oxalyldrazide method are : 1.45-16.94, 0.61-1.57 and 0.73-17.54 μ moles. of epherdrine, 99.13±0.6%, 99.35±0.71% and 99.54±0.73% on using nickel, copper and cobalt respectively.

摘要:
8-Anilino-l-naphthalenesulphonic acid inhibits the reaction of horse radish peroxidase with 2,2′-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonate)diammonium salt and various oxidants. The possible significance of this observation for competitive enzyme immunoassays with peroxidase labels has been investigated using solid-phase immunoassays based on either plastic tubes or polystyrene beads coated with thyroxine antiserum.

摘要:
An HPLC method with direct plasma sample injection onto a reverse phase column and stepwise elution was applied to the drug level monitoring of 6-mercaptopurine, theophylline and chlorpromazine by using spectrophotometric or electrochemical detection. The analysis of the drug spiked in human plasma was quantitative, and 100% of the drug was recovered regardless of the entity free or bound to plasma protein. Owing to a preliminary procedure of protein coating on the ODS silica gel the column characteristics were somewhat deteriorated, but accurate analyses could be achieved by a single column method including the simultaneous determination of some metabolites of the drug.

摘要:
The determination of nicotinamide, alloxan, saccharin, barbitone and theobromine is achieved by a simple and rapid spectrophotometric method. The proposed method depends on the bromine oxidation of the amide or imide functional groups with the formation of N - bromoamide or N - bromoimide respectively, having a positive bromine atom. The oxidation products oxidize iodide ions to iodine which is measured as its starch complex.
