摘要:
This report describes a radioimmunoassay method for the measurement of 20adihydro-progesterone (20a-P) in plasma. Utilizing a specific antiserum for 20a-P with o one-step Celite microcolumn chromatographic system, we have measured this steroid in small aliquots of plasma from both male and female subjects. In 10 men, the mean 20a-P level was 0.85 ng/ml. In six premenopausal women studied during one complete menstrual cycle, the mean levels during the follicular and luteal phases were respectively 0.63 ng/ml and 3.7 ng/ml. These values are within the range of levels reported by one group of investigators but higher than those reported by another group.

摘要:
An alternating current phase-selective anodic stripping (PSAS) method is described for determining trace amounts of gallium in spiked bovine tissue. Sharp, gaussian a.c. anodic stripping peaks were obtained at high solution ionic strength and in the presence of thiocyanate anion. Tissue samples were ashed completely using a low temperature, radio-frequency excited oxygen plasma. Interference from copper and zinc naturally present in the tissue was eliminated by isopropyl ether extraction of HGaC14 from 7 molar hydrochloric acid solution.

L-Tryptophan is condensed with formaldehyde to yield 2,3,4,5-tetra-hydro-β-carboline-4-carboxylic acid. The trimethylsilyl derivative of this compound is suitable for selective ion monitoring during combined gas chromatography - mass spectrometry since it affords a relatively abundant molecular ion of high MSS.

摘要:
The purity of tritiated steroids used as reagents in radio immunoassay plays an important role in the reliability of the assay. These radioactive reagents should be assessed for purity upon receipt and the purity should be checked periodically afterward. For such purposes, we have used chromatographic purification on Celite microcolumns. By charging the polarity of the stationary and mobile phases, 20 different tritiated steroids with a wide range of polarity could be purified on these microcolumns. This approach is easy, rapid, economical, and reliable.

摘要:
A simple method for the determination of iron in the range of 0.01–1.00% in zirconium metal and its alloys is described. The method is based on the electrolytic dissolution of zirconium into an organic solvent and the subsequent measurement of iron by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The method is rapid, requiring 30 minutes for one measurement.
