摘要:
The capcity factors determined by reversed-phase micro high performance liquid chromatography (micro-HPLC) can be used as one of the descriptors in Quantitative-Structure-Activity-Relationships (QSAR) studies. The present method gives a more simple and convenient way to study relationships between physicochemical properties and biological activities of some drugs.

摘要:
Potassium bromate was applied to the determination of adrenaline, noradrenalhe, isopropylnoradrenaline and methyl-dopa. Direct potentiometric and visual indicator titration methods as well as back-titration procedures have been developed for their determination. Oxidation of these catechol-amines produce aminochmme derivatives at pH 11.0 which could be measured spectrophotometrically at 465 nm. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range from 0.04 to 1.4 mg adrenaline, 0.04 to 1.27 ag noradrenaline, 0.06 to 1.4 mg isopropylnoradrenaline and from 0.04 to 0.65 methyldopa.

摘要:
Formation constants of chelates of ampicillin, dopamine, and α -methyl L-dopa with Cu2+, Fe3+and Zr4+have been determined in aqueous medium at ionic strength of 0.1 M (KC1) using Calvin-Bjerrum technique as applied by Irving and Rossotti. Zirconium forms relatively more stable chelates with ampicillin as compared to copper and iron. However, in case of dopamine and α-methyl L-dopa the chelation with iron is the more stable. The order of stability of copper and iron is in agreement with the Irving-Villiems order. The mixed ligand chelates have been, also, investigated. The stability sequence has been found to be Cu2+< Fe3+< Zr4+

Serum samples are deproteinized with an equal volume of acetone and 20 μl of the filtrate is added to 1 ml of 2.5 × 10−4MKOH and 1.0 × 10−4M 1, 8-dihydroxyanthraquinone in 90% (V/V) acetone. Single point calibration with spiked serum at 1.5 mmol/l is used with unspiked serum as blank. Fluorescence emission is measured at 618 nm, with excitation at 410 nm. Samples analyzed by the described method and by atomic absorption spectrometry showed a correlation coefficient of 0.985. The relative responses for lithium in water, serum eletrolyte matrix and serum were 100, 57, and 44, respectively. The Li response in serum relative to that for Na, K, Ca, and Mg was 480, 600, 33, and 27, respectvely.

摘要:
A monomeric Fab'-horseradish peroxidase conjugate was prepared from a small quantity of rabbit affinity-purified anti-human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) F(ab')2 using normal goat F(ab')2as a carrier. Rabbit affinity-purified anti-hCG F(ab')2(about 0.04 mg) was mixed with 1 mg of normal goat F(ab')2, reduced to Fab' and conjugated to peroxidase using N-succinimidyl 6-(N-maleimido)hexanoate. The rabbit Fab'-peroxidase conjugate was separated from normal goat Fab'-peroxidase conjugate by passage through a rabbit (anti-goat IgG) IgG Sepharose 46 column and shown to be comparable, in both the purity and the ability for a sensitive sandwich enzyme immuncassay of hCG, to that prepared from a sufficient amount of affinity purified anti-hCG F (ab')2without using a carrier.
