摘要:
UV-spectrophotometry in combination with Kalmanfiltering is used for the assay of analgesics in tablets. Commercial products containing various combinations of acetylsalicylic acid, salicylic acid, caffeine, phenacetine and acetaminophen are analyzed. For comparison, these tablets were also analyzed by HPLC. The accuracy and precision of both methods are comparable. The described spectrophotometric assay with the aid of Kalmanfiltering represents a new, rapid and low-cost alternative to existing analytical procedures for analgesics.

摘要:
A rapid, reproducible and accurate method for the determination of benzoylmetronidazole in pharmaceutical suspensions is presented. Differential pulse polarography at a static mercury drop electrode is used for the reduction of the nitro group of benzoylmetronidazole.

摘要:
Carminomycin, a new cytostatic agent related to the anthracyclin group, has been investigated using D.C., A.C., D.P. polarography and cyclic voltammetric techniques. Two reduction waves have been reported, one concerning the quinonic function, the other being devoted to the carbonyl group located in C13. Some important adsorption phenomena may interfere in a large pH range. The detection limit is 8. 10−6M (D.P.P.).

摘要:
A novel spectrophotometric method for the assay of δ4-3-Ketosteroids in formulations is presented. Oxalyldihydrazide in methanol reacts selectively with δ4-3-Ketosteroids at pH 2 forming stable hydrazones which exhibit intense absorption specta at 300 nm. and high molar absorpitivities ranging from 14480–18750 for most steroids studied. Methyltestosterone showed exception ally high sensitivity where its molar absorpitivity was 21630. As little as 5–30 μg steroid were determined with 99.28 ± 0.65–100.16 ± 0.94% accuracy. The method was applied successfully to the micro-determination of cortisone, hydrocortisone, hydrocortisone acetate, norethisterone, norethisterone acetate, norgestrel and methyltestosterone in substance as well as in different pharmaceutical dosage forms. The precision of assay was compareble with existing spectrometric methods for ketosteroid drugs. The method is simple, accurate mean - while selective and more sensitive than the INH-method.

摘要:
An electrode method has been developed for the determination of flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) using a potentiometric gas sensor and commercially available enzyme preparations. The construction of the FAD-sensitive electrode is based on immobilizing alkaline phosphatase (E.C. 3.1.3.1) and adenosine deaminase (E.C. 3.5.4.4) on the sensing tip of an ammonia gas sensor. Alkaline phosphatase enzymatically catalyzes the hydrolysis of FAD to adenosine which is subsequently converted to ammonia by adenosine deaminase. The response of the dual-enzyme electrode is linear between 8 × 10−5Mand 4 × 10−3MFAD with a slope of 43 mV/decade concentration at pH 8.5 and 37[ddot]C. The optimum buffer system is 0.5Mdiethanolamine, 1 × 10−3MTris-HCl and 1 × 10−3MMgCl2. Electrodes constructed with enzymes immobilized by cross-linking with glutaraldehyde and bovine serum albumin showed longer life times than electrodes using enzymes entrapped by a dialysis membrane. The electrode is highly selective over riboflavin and flavin mononucleotide, but it does respond to other nucleotides.

摘要:
Normal-phase high pressure liquid chromatography with isocratic elution on Lichrosorb Diol Columm has been used to separate and quantify androstendione, testosterone, 2-α-hydroxytestosterone, 6-β-hydroxytestosterone, 16-α-hydroxytestosterone and 7-α-hydroxytestosterone. These steroids are the major products of testosterone hydroxylation by rat liver microsomes. Separation was achieved in 25 minutes by using and isocratic mixture of n-hexane: 2-propanol: 9:1 (v/v). This method compares very favorable with other methods published to study microsomal hydroxylations in different positions of the steroid skeleton.
